Admin, I know this guy works with y'all, but please ban this miserable fk. He is about to lose it this morning with posters who choose to be positive.

LOL. I love when the dumb jock, plant baws come in spouting their nonsense. All we need is a rah rah coach to psych our team up, right!?

Sigh, if all you can do is 9-4 on a relatively easy schedule it’s concerning. The ultimate point of firing Miles is to get back to championship contention, to do that you will have to beat good teams. Bama did ultimately beat 2 top 3 teams last year.

This is very true but yet everyone is basing this season off Troy , Mississippi state and ND games from last season

Will the OL be cohesive? Will we be able to move the chains with the run game? Can we pass protect? Will we be able to navigate the tough schedule? Will the stadium be magic when it needs to be to get these guys over the hump ? Will Coach O coach confidently or coach scared ?
Those are my questions. Last year in August I had a LOT more questions. This team has the ability to wreck shite.

LSU was a 9 win team last year. From where I sit LSU has improved everywhere from that team except RB...and that's only because last year the RB was Derrius Guice.
This schedule is at least 2 games tougher than last year. And, the OL could very easily be worse than last year. The WRs will probably not be as good despite the talent due to experience.
The hope that we have is that the defense moves into elite territory, and we get better than expected QB play.

All seasons were not created equal my friend.
Winning 9 last season was disappointing.
Winning 9 this season would be somewhat impressive
Exactly. We could go 9-3 this season and all losses end up being to top 5 teams. Its going to be a much more exciting season than last year at least

Then you must be sitting in the back row, not paying attention.
OLine is a complete rebuild now that Ingram is out and they have a new OLine coach. Outside of Giles, WR, by all accounts from camp, is having a case of the dropsies. And QB is still yet to be seen. Throw in the fact that you have an entirely new system with SE, and you have a recipe for struggles early on. We also play 4 defenses that ranked in the top 15 in total defense last season.
Also, O is still the head coach.
This team is talented, absolutely. But there are 6 teams on the schedule that are either equally as talented or better. This season is going to come down to coaching. THAT is why many are skeptical that this team can win 9 games.

Defense should give us a shot to win every game. Odds low but we could be undefeated and playing AL for the top spot.

Not reading this whole thread, so I'll just write this and it may have already been said:
Where exactly do you sit? You can't possibly think losing Ingram, Clapp, and Weathersby made our offensive line BETTER. Also, we didn't just go from Fournette to Guice, we went from Guice to guys who are just very average. Brossette has been in the program 4 years and has never gotten real carries because he always underperforms.
What? We have 2 3-stars, 2 4-stars, and one guy that is here because of his brother. One of those 4-stars, again, has been here for a while and done NOTHING.
Danny Etling started many games at Purdue and got caught in a game between Canada and O. Etling may make an NFL practice squad...that is impressive as a QB.
We do not know that. We have 1 guy who played in an air-raid offense in the Big 12. The other 2 projected starters have 0 career catches
Is that really that big of a deal?
Simply put...this isn't close to being true. Significant step back at RT, MASSIVE step back at C. Still have Charles and Brumfield, and it remains to be seen how good Lewis is
Have you seen the schedule? We play a ridiculously difficult schedule.
What's amazing to me is why people want to hype themselves up and have unreal expectations. I love LSU, I've gone to games for 25 years, and until I moved, I went a stretch where I didn't miss a game for a decade. However, I can be realistic and say we are extremely unproven in several areas on offense and our OC hasn't been an OC in a very very long time. To expect big things, especially against the defenses we are playing is just setting yourself up for failure.

LSU has recruited well at RB, and I have faith that at the end of the year the running game will have proven to have been very good

You are just infected with homerism. Take O , staff, and exact roster and put them in Auburn and you wouldn't be saying the War Eagles would win 10 games.
