As much as I am a big believer in due process and "innocent until proven guilty", it's hard not to have a opinion and I believe my opinion is the same as yours, sir.

Ok, so now we've just degraded the entire armed forces because of the actions of a very few? Of every personal attack I've seen on this board, I have never seen anything as disgusting as an insulting generalization of US Armed Forces.
You have a vendetta against the people posting threats, fine. To sit here and badmouth armed forces in the US is freaking unreal. Those "highschool screwups" are doing a job that SOMEONE has to do.
What have YOU done for this country? What have you contributed on your own free will? Taxes?

While I agree the types of things that went on last night on the pages was outrageous, I am a bit perplexed by the suddenly concern for our QB from the same fan base that was lashing him on here barely 24 hours ago.

I'll be honest, the only people I know that entered the armed forces were guys who couldn't get into college. I'm not saying every military man is that way, but I don't think what he said was all that inaccurate.

Note I am not slamming all armed forces but a significant number that were posting racist hate filled crap last night and posting real threats against a student athlete

This statement is the one i take issue with. Spin it how you want, it carried an obvious stereotype in it. I wonder how i'm the bad person in all of this. I'm not insulting anyone -- or "totally out to get the players" -- im simply saying it doesn't matter who's side you are on or who did what -- that comment quoted above is low.

Just because they join the military doesn't mean their infallible. Hell, how many members of the military so bravely serving their country have recently turned out to be terrorists? In fact one of our so-called brave service men is locked up for trading away national security secrets to Wikileaks. So while it would be stupid and wrong to unfairly criticize ALL service members, it's equally stupid and unfair to believe that just because one has the letters "USMC" behind their name that they are beyond criticism.
By the way - how is the quote you're objecting to someone "degrading"? A lot of military folk are low income people who can't get their s*&% together. I think that's a pretty undeniable fact; NOT a criticism.
