Hypothetical scenario: if you weren’t an LSU fan, who would you be a fan of?

Let’s say family ties, home state, lived in said state or just always liked the team/school.

For me off top I’d probably be an Oklahoma Sooners fan for family ties. Spent a portion of my childhood there. Extremely storied program that always seems to find a way to be relevant again just when you think they’re going away. Oklahoma people are the salt of the earth. Way more good apples than bad in the bunch.

Living in Texas if you held a gun to my head and made me choose between UT and TAMU, I’d likely lean Longhorns mainly because I just can’t stand Aggies and how their entire identity is based on sticking it to big brother. Also just the inferiority complex they seem to strongly possess is odd. Spent enough time in Austin vs College station too. It’s not even a debate on which town is more fun to spend a weekend. So mainly not because I remotely like UT but more because TAMU is just so lame.

All that being said, frick em all Geaux Tigers!

I’m from here and went to school here and my family has rooted for this team and gone here for generations.

In this hypothetical probably wherever I was from and went. How would I know that?

I have family in South MS who are State fans, and I never had a problem with Miss State as a whole. Underrated fans who support their team when they're good, so probably them.

Princeton, fraternal side of the family has strong ties and has been in that region since the late 1600s

I'm originally from Kansas so I guess I'd be a KU Jayhawk fan. I have family that still live up there. I moved here in 79' when I was 6 so I say I'm from Louisiana. I guess I should really say East Texas since I live in Bossier City.

I would just be a fan of the sport overall.
But I would favor teams with the coolest uniforms
Michigan wolverines
Florida gators
OSU buckeyes imo

Oklahoma State.

Picked them in my road to glory in one of the old NCAA football games and have liked them ever since.

Probably be Oregon Ducks. Just think of all the jersey combos. Plus green and yellow work, like the Oakland As

I guess Kansas State. I've had 3 cousins play for them over the years. The Bill Snider years were great for them. Still, for being a program located in the middle of nowhere, they always stay pretty competitive in football and basketball.

Most of my family are Dawgs and I spent a few years in Athens. Awesome town, beautiful campus, plenty of traditions. Not sure I could get on board with barking in peoples' faces

I was raised in middle Tennessee and my wife is from Knoxville

Don’t make me say it because I won’t

But that’s the one that I guess makes the most sense

My wife doesn’t even like Tennessee tho

You know it’s ok to just read the post and think “this doesn’t apply to me” and move on. You didn’t have to respond pal

I am from Wisconsin and there are no good teams from there, badgers are arse! I would have to say Notre Dame- Rudy was a sensational movie, also Marshall. We are Marshall might be the best football movie ever made and Randy Moss was a savage !

I root for all Louisiana schools. Yep, even ULL and Tulane. When the Lady Techsters were so good under Barnmore I got into women’s basketball - not passionately but do follow records / standing / tournament games if a team is doing well. I will even watch ULL softball in the postseason. I am a classic “homer” I suppose…
