Im all in favor of Les. I'm a positiger.

Pretend for whatever reason Les isn't our coach, and we premote FW to head coach. How do you feel about it?

Personally, I think he is the perfect guy for the job, aside from Les of course. He is one of the most detailed and competent coaches I have seen, and I think he has instant and lasting success.

A guy whose never been a coordinator is going to take over a program like LSU. No.

He'll be the head coach at LSU eventually. Him needing to a coordinator is bullshite.

If he hires good coaches, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do well. He can recruit well and establish good relationships with players. I'd be OK with it. Its not like les is a x's o's guy. Les recruits well and manages talent, frank can do the same

Not saying you are wrong, but can you give some examples of this?

He seems like a good guy, a good coach, and a great recruiter, but in the real world you have to have some more experience before you just take over a job at a major college program.

There's no way les gives full control to a green OC so I sure hope you haven't been complaining about les meddling in the offense if you wish for him to become OC. I think he'd be successful, but would rather him cut his teeth at a smaller school first

I can see him one day being the guy at LSU. He could easily be the CEO closer type of head coach. I can't say when but I could see it.

Frank is not ready to be a coach. He hasn't even been a coordinator. He's a recruiter. At best he will be a OC at a good school or HC at a small D1 college

I could see it in about 10 years when Miles retires. I would assume that he moves on in two or three years to a coordinator or HC position at a smaller school anyway, so I could see it.

Normally I'm against promoting anyone on staff already to HC, but I might break my own rule with Wilson if I were an AD.

I don't see why he couldn't give OC a shot. Could probably do just as well as stud.

Please, put down the crack pipe or stop sucking down what ever mind altering substance you're ingesting.

Frank Wilson as head coach at LSU.

Great recruiters that coach running backs, but have done nothing else at the college level (Yeah, I know, he coached WR's at Tennessee for a year and RB's at Southern Miss and Ole Miss) are not qualified to take over major college football programs like LSU, either as head coaches or offensive coordinators. Go cut your teeth at some smaller school and then come back and maybe we'll talk.

Example: How'd that Larry Porter gig at Memphis work out? He went directly from coaching RB's at LSU to Head Coach at Memphis?

LSU is light years past that point as a program to ever take a chance like that. Just boggles my mind how some of you can actually produce such utterly nonsensical thoughts between the ears. Must be the mind altering stuff.

You can look at my post history to see where I stand on Les Miles. My view hasn't wavered. The problem with him "cutting his teeth" at a smaller school is that you lose his recruiting ability and connections to NOLA.
