How young was your child for their first LSU football game?

Looking for advice.

My son will be 6 months soon. I want to bring him to his first game this year, just to say we did. Don’t plan on it until the weather cools down, so mid-late October, then he’ll be about 8 months. Also, plan on using earplugs/headset for noise and not staying very long. Have to teach him young at beating the traffic. Probably won’t tailgate, just drive up near game time.

Is this too soon?

Is it still free admission for young children?

I’m aware he won’t remember it, but I will, and I’m sure I’ll capture the moment with a photo. My main concern is his well being, so I appreciate any advice from LSU dads

3 for my daughter and under 1 for my son. Neither bothered anyone around them before some grump whines about it. And even if they did, I don't give a frick

Did I mention my wife?

We don’t have Facebook and I’m the LSU fan.

At LSU? If it breathes it needs a ticket. Been that way for a pretty long time.

My daughter was four, but probably a few weeks from five her first game.

Daughter was 3 and really enjoyed it. She lasted until sometime in the 3rd quarter. I can’t see them getting anything out of it before that age.

I was 8 months old when I went to my first game. Don’t remember it but my parents talk about it all the time

Because I love LSU, but I love him more, I love when I’m with him and I want to have that moment.

Basically because I want to.

Exactly. And that’s awesome for them. It’s the little things in life.

4 years old is about right, but don’t expect to stay longer than halftime.

Every person regardless of age needs a ticket for football, so he'll need a ticket for you to hold him in your lap.

My daughter was almost three and we left at the end of the 1st quarter as the pre-game fireworks (seats in south endzone) scared her so entire first quarter she kept saying she needed to potty.

Took my daughter (7 now) and son (5) this past season and it was a BLAST. They enjoyed the whole game.

Think of this too, at least as of last season, bathrooms in Tiger Stadium and trying to change diapers for a 6 month old.

Thanks!

I didn’t expect many to agree or even understand. Just some advice from actual parents who’ve done it.
