10-3 win a NY6 bowl win.

LOL.

This team had 7-5, 8-4 written all over it.

Assuming we had Chase, Shelving, and Vincent there is no way this team loses 5 games

Shelvin and Vincent don't fix that defense.

I don't think we lose to Texas in a packed death valley at night
just not sure our defense could have stopped them enough...

Vincent isn't getting beat over the top like these guys

Shelving would command a double team on almost every play

Chase obviously upgrades a talented but inconsistent receiving group

Would likely be a shoot out

I'd like our chances with the preseason opt outs still on the team

I think we would go 10-2 and a decent bowl.

9-3 or 8-4. Alabama game wouldn't have been much different. Would have lost 2 or 3 out of Texas, Florida, Auburn, and A&M. The biggest difference is we wouldn't have lost to any inferior teams like State or Missouri. Then you throw in 3 more non-conference wins. Honestly, if we beat Ole Miss to finish 5-5 the season doesn't look that terrible. The team has played much better since the Auburn game. Really should have beat A&M-- just gave the game away with dumb mistakes... would have won with Johnson at QB instead of Finley. The team just wasn't ready to play at all the first 3 weeks and, honestly, I can't really blame them. Too many new players and new coaches with zero time together under no normal circumstances.

Actually, the possibilities are endless. This is why “if only” thinking is fruitless. You can’t just assume positive outcomes. It’s also possible you have a career ending injury

Anywhere from 7-5 to 11-1.

Very, very hard to say.

With how long it took this team to get it together I don’t think a regular season would have gone much different. We would take care of cupcakes, Texas would be a tossup, we might win Miss State and Mizzou, everything else the same, Florida would probably take us more seriously and win that one.

I could see it being like a 7-5 kind of year. Sorry but we really were that bad this year

You mean the team that has a top 10 win and likely another without missing 6-7 of its top ten players. All your changing from 10-3 to our current record is wins over 2/4 in State, Mizzou, Auburn, & AM
