re: How to get LSU fans to stay a whole game and restore Tiger Stadium to Death Valley?

It's cultural.
To those types that just leave, it's just a party. Another place to go get drunk and have fun. I think the problem is selling out tickets if they don't sell to those types. If you have more than enough people to buy tickets, maybe drop the price and try to find a way to minimize the younger audiences.

1. You have to let the students have their chants
2. Take the piped in music out and have the band play more
3. Have student/fraternity contests, etc on the field between the 3rd and 4th quarters

Gives me a terrible headache by halftime.
The DJ is killing Tiger Stadium.

Traffic leaving the stadium. Contra flow outbound everything but have ride share (lyft, uber) access for people needing a ride.

Easier said than done but the traffic. The 1 game a year I go to it is unreal

The cell phone issue can be rectified, albeit at a cost to the service providers. It’s not just the 100000+ fans in the stadium, and residual tailgaters, but the student population as well. (Here we go), the NRG stadium complex here in Houston, has the same problem for football games and the 30 day rodeo season, with about the same total users. So the powers to be contracted with the cell providers to put up temporary cell phone boosters and antennas to rectify the cell issue. But that does not guarantee that fans will remain in the stands, winning does cure some of the apathy, but not all.

The infrastructure surrounding campus also has not been upgraded to help people off campus quicker.
I live three hours away. It is hard as frick to get from the stadium to home in less than four hours for me dealing with the walk to the car, the ridicuous route to exit BR, and then finally hit the highway leaving.

Take away upper east and west sides! Seriously! All we did was make room for the opposition, just for the revenue but we were better off with our 70,000 SRO days!

Winning means nothing, times have changed. Too many big screens in every house, too expensive and the younger generation doesn't give 2 F's about the game, it's just "the in thing" to be in Tiger Stadium for the 1st half

I don't give a damn who leaves or stays, I'm there to watch the action on the field.

Did anyone ever leave in 2019? I was there until the prayer at the end of the game...the answer is no. Give fans that product and LSU fans will revel in being there to watch it all. Give them crap in any sport, and no one will come and stay.

"No one will come & stay"? LSU led the Aggies at half & fans were leaving at half time. LSU led South Carolina at half & fans were leaving at half. This has happened more than these 2 games in recent games as well.

Not long after Mack Brown came to Texas, the athletics dept. launched the campaign, “Come Early. Be Loud. Stay Late.” It was on the Jumbotron, t-shirts and everywhere around the stadium along with a video from Brown played at the end of the second quarter urging fans to stay for the second half when the team really needed them. Over time, it made a difference. Of course, it helps when the team wins, when restrooms are updated, when the food is decent, WiFi works, etc. But a direct message to fans, repeated over and over, can make a difference over time.

Well this is just a dumb idea and an easy way to lose fans.
People want your seats, baw.

Traffic has been an issue for as long as I can remember so I don’t understand all the bitching about it.
At the end of the game, we would head back to our tailgate and tailgate a little longer while traffic died down.

In this day and age with sports betting, it’s prevalent.
I guess. And look, I’m as bad as anyone about being on phone all the time. Hell, I’m on it now and have been for past hour on TD.
But I can honestly say, when I’m in Tiger Stadium it never leaves my pocket. Only get to go to one or two games a year and I am glued to the action in front of me.

You’d have to push out all of the corporate and boomer seating in the East and West sidelines, which will never happen since they are footing the bill.
The North and South endzones are core Death Valley, and this is coming from someone with seats on the West sideline

Traffic. Traffic and traffic. When I have a two to three hour ride home plus the one and a half hours to the interstate, I’m leaving as soon as I know the outcome.
Fix traffic in and out and I’m much more apt to stay to the end.

A&M QB said in post game interview that Tommy Moffitt told the team that if they started kicking LSU’s butt the stands would empty out. Which is what happened in the 3rd quarter. LSU fans are 100% what have you done for me lately. Tiger stadium not what it used to be
