Stupid. TV has changed football forever. In a good way. Stop being bitches about game times. That's the way the system works now. Be thankful your team is on national television and show up and be loud.

It's not up to the Schools, they give that up when they join the SEC. Look at it from the other side how pissed would you be is Bama said screw it we don't want TV for this game. How pissed would everyone be that the game would not be on TV.

No TV means no money and less exposure, which hurts not only recruiting but other sports which need the money football brings in.

Didn't realize until after I posted we prety much said the same thing.

Is it impossible for people to have a good time unless they have a beer or 6? Geez. Can't you all go 3 hours without?

Sadly. This seems to be the case for a shite ton of people. It's fricking pathetic.

This. It's seems simple enough. It would definitely make the 2nd half of blowouts more entertaining. Hell, when I have a good buzz I can entertain myself.

2) make it easier to get on campus

This was the biggest one for me this weekend. We were going to tailgate and drove in from out of town. We were in dead stop traffic on every route I new into campus. We spent about 2 1/2 hours in traffic. Ended up having to turn off onto Brightside to watch the game at my wife's brothers apartment so that we wouldn't miss the first quarter.

I lived around campus for 6 years and never dealt with traffic like that except for after a game. In the 90's and early 2000's I used to go to games with my dad. He didn't tailgate, we just walked to the stadium. We never had a problem if we showed up 2 hours before kickoff. This weekend, I couldn't get to a parking lot. The lockdown of campus happened while I was there and it really changed how we tailgated. It's just not the same experience for me anymore. I will still go, but it's changed for me.

Turn it into a game night. Short of that, I have no idea. The aTm game should be electric no matter what time the game is. The hate fron the past between the two teams has started to ignite again.

3) stop charging an arm and leg for on campus parking. Whille there are plenty of people who can afford it, the theatrics of blockading main thoroughfares makes it impossible to get close and park. Not to mention half the free parking is covered by a construction zone (see 2). Many, many people didn't come Saturday because they simply couldn't get to campus.
4) get rid of the bullshite corporate logos everywhere, and use the Screen you spent the ticket holders money on.
5) use electronic tickets to make it easier for fans to sell last minute
6) do something about scalpers that hoard tickets and then try and dump them for crazy prices
7) get night games. Who cares about TV deals, make it happen
8) do something better during commercial breaks
9) stop trying to control a student section... That will never work until you stop letting students go to games
10) blackout the game...

I live on Burbank. Traffic always piles up the closer you get to game time. It was bad 4 hours before kickoff last week.

The 2:30 kickoff made the incoming traffic worse than I've seen it in a long time and less people at the game...

My folks were coming in from Lake Charles. It took them two hours to get from Lobdell to the Dalrymple exit.
