How should MM attack recruiting using NIL money?

I believe McMahon SHOULD pay 5 elite hs All Americans and get them to Baton Rouge. Jmo. Transfers from top schools wont change imo (already winning and got alot of money from nil). Just go after 5 elite hs kids. The best ones and offer them 1 mil a piece. Let's just cut to the chase and do it. Disagree all you want but this is playing hardball with the nil fight. It will work. Yeah yeah, it's too much blah blah. Just fricking do it. Winning has to spread here. When that has been established, more to players will follow.
1 million per player for the 5 best players in the county

I seriously doubt the 5 best players in the country next year will be freshmen.

McMahon's seat is on fire, why in the world would he spend all his money on freshmen? 5 really good freshmen wont be getting us to the tournament.\
Not to mention, there's only like 2-3 uncommitted 5-stars out there right now for 2025. A number of them have already signed as well.

Look man- all these kids are already getting paid and many of them are already signed.
McMahon isn't a good coach, but his only chance is to sign 5 legit transfer guys but he's going to have to spend through the nose because we don't have a reputation for producing pro basketball players and we don't win.
It's like trying to convince a kid to play at Missouri for football instead of LSU if you pay a little more. Most dudes will take less to win and get to the league.

We now need 3 guards a wing and a big. I really don't think we should rely on Givens improving into a sec PG. Not that he can't... But in a year you got to do something that's not what you want to rely on.
So I would go balls deep in the NIl for those 5.

You are not getting the five best freshmen at $1 million a piece. AJ Dybansta alone is getting $7 million from BYU.

Somebody correct me if I i’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I saw AJ Dybantsa’s (#1 HS recruit for ‘25) base pay NIL wise at BYU was around $5 million. Trying to pay the top 5 high school guys would cost way more than that lol.

You could give McMahon the Duke roster and he still wouldn’t be able to make the tournament.

I actually might see this if you're talking getting elite, experienced players. For example, Vandy's leading scorer ( 17 ppg ) is in the portal. He's also considering his pro options. Make him an offer he can't refuse. If Mac continues to sign second tier players, we'll get what we've gotten. You have to get some proven, high level players. That will take $$.

He said 5 elite high schoolers. Said nothing about the 5 best players in the country. The 5 best high schoolers in the country is what he means!

He should use the NIL money to go towards his obnoxious buyout so we could hire a real coach.

There are two questions that must be answered by NIL...
1. How much does it cost to buy a championship roster?
2. Are you willing to pay the price?
I don't think LSU is wiling or able to buy a basketball championship.

I think you are kind of confusing teams. The 1989 team that won the NC were led by Glenn Rice (Senior) and Rumeal Robinson (Junior). The Fab 5 came two years later. They reached the NC game twice, but lost both times.
This year Duke has 4 true freshmen among their top 6 leading scorers. They have probably been, overall, the best team in the tournament. That said, they are a rarity today. It's doubtful 5 true freshmen starter could reach the championship game. It's even more doubtful so, or any, would stick around more than 1 season.

I wish he'd start by putting together a roster with complimentary pieces and based on positional need, instead of what he did last time with one big and 11 wings.
