This. And yeah, what good are recruits when you get your shite pushed in by teams with lesser talent?

Some of you LSU fans are so fricking stupid and can't see the big picture. I shouldn't jump on your arse do to your state's putrid education, but what good has recruiting done for LSU anyways? Wisconsin can't recruit for shite and they crushed you guys.

LSU, wisely, beat everyone (Notre Dame, Texas, USC, maybe Auburn, etc) to the punch. LSU can get a top coach because they are the first one's available. It'll allow a coach plenty of time to make relationships and recruit.

I'm a Miles fan, but LSU made the right decision. He wasn't earning top dollar and putting out an inferior product.

Problem with all this is if O don't get the HC job he will have been overlooked again and probably leave. Don't believe we can have both Herman and Orgeron.

Doesn't matter. Recruiting has been great and we're 2-2

Most players are fans of LSU and would be coming anyway. It may be better when we hire Herman in early December...2 months before signing day.

How would recruiting looked with 6 or 7 wins and keeping Les?

Very screwed, but it can't be helped. The new coach will salvage what he can and try to make up ground with the next class.

It will be much better than keeping him and going .500.

So which is better? Moral victories with recruiting rankings, or actual victories with a coach that has a clue?

Starts with recruiting. It matters. Then coaching.

Recruiting amazing talent is what kept Miles here and winning so much for so long. But all he had was recruiting. Nothing else.
