But weren't the accusations against Pokey from way back when she was a grad student? I didn't think any of that happened when she was the head coach. And wasn't there some woman named Berry that started all of that just because she was mad at Pokey?

Pokey was having sex with a player. Les wasn't exactly kosher, but it's pretty damn different.

As I recall the facts, Pokey was accused of having a relationship with a former player when she was an assistant coach. She was not in a relationship with one of her current players after she became the HC. Also, the alleged player involved never filed a complaint against her or even disclosed their alleged relationship. Bertman overreacted because (1) it was a gay relationship, & (2) it was a gay relationship. I don't doubt he gave Pokey only a couple of hours to make a decision.
In Miles' case, he was a HC and probably the most powerful person in the athletic dept. He was the boss of those who he assaulted & harassed. Several victims filed formal complaints. He was given multiple chances to stop his bad behavior but continued as a repeat offender. He paid off one of the complainants to ensure her silence.
I'd say there was a huge difference between the two situations. Pokey was not without fault, but her fault pales in comparison to Les' bad behavior which was clearly sexual assault and harassment. Once again, the double standard rears its ugly head.

That's the way I remember it as well. Seems like one of her assistants got mad and started the whole thing.
