It’ll be a sold out game and the demand is too high, so none

Someone on here posted that it was cheaper to buy season tickets........then sell the rest of them.....
No link, but the season ticket prices weren’t much more than just the LSU game...
Made sense

If you go to Texas Longhorns ticket sales on their official website (link above), you’ll see that almost half of their upper deck seats still haven’t sold the season ticket package and there seems to be very little demand for these season tickets because they’ve been for sale for over a month.
What this means is that there will eventually be individual tickets for sale for the LSU game through the Texas ticket office website. The key is finding out when this sale will start, because when it does, LSU fans will scoop up these tickets for face value quickly.
Pay no attention to those who think you’ll be forced to buy tickets on the secondary resale market for an outrageous amount. Do your homework, be patient, and you’ll be fine. Let the knee jerkers who don’t know any better fill other people’s wallets.

If you live near Austin, you could just go the day of the game and do what happens here on game days and walk around with one finger up (or however fingers depending on how many tickets you need).
Someone will sell their tickets, someone has given tickets to friends, etc, but they can't make it so instead of eating the tickets, they will usually sell them, often for face value. (Again, this is if you live near Austin. I wouldn't go from say, BR or NOLA all the way to Austin to do this)
If you live far from Austin, I agree with the above poster. Try that. The closer it gets to game day and there are empty seats, the price will drop. People will want to make something instead of nothing.
Good Luck!

I talked to the UT ticket office today and they said only UT season ticket holders will be allowed to buy extra individual LSU tickets later this summer

Unless we lose to Georgia Southern or Texas loses to La Tech in week 1 the price is going to remain high.

This isn’t like any other game I’ve ever seen in my thirty years of following the Tigers.. I’ve mentioned it in another thread, but i had a much easier time getting multiple tickets for the last LSU National Title game in 2012, than i’ve had getting just a pair for the UT/LSU game.
There are literally millions of LSU fans in the state of Texas, most of them have high disposable income, and they all want to be at this game.. It’s definitely a pay to play situation, to the extreme.. No bargains will be found for this one, not even on game day.

I'd think the question should read how much will they go up by game time.

This will not happen. These tickets will be turned over to the UT ticket broker site of choice and be sold at going rate. Which will be $300+

Doubt they will drop very much. Might get lucky with a scalper around game time. Plenty of bars to watch it at if you strike out, both foreign (UT) and domestic (LSU) type bars

Based on the link below, The face value is the same but to get those tickets you have to donate 4500 bucks atleast to UT to be eligible

I only had to donate 200 a ticket for season UT tickets in the lower north

I had a buddy who got amazing tickets at countless games. His formula:
1. Get a "burner" tickets - the cheapest you can find - but they'll get you in if all else fails.
2. On game day, find the scalpers. Make good notes of the location and prices - Bring a great seating chart. Make notes on it.
3. Be polite with the scalpers = most people treat them like shite - bad idea.
4. Gauge the speed the tickets are moving at - sometimes scalpers have too may tickets at the BIGGEST games.
5. Keep briefly checking back with the scalpers - let them know something like, "great seats, wish I could afford them. If you get stuck with them, Maybe I can buy them at face value".
6. Don't buy til 5 or 10 minutes AFTER kickoff. That's when the astounding tickets get sold at face or less.

That sounds exactly like what I want to be doing all day before the game.
