I think O should get a new contract at $5 mil with lots of bonus incentives like he has now.

You guys that wanna pay him $7.5 mil and up plus pay Brady $1.6 mil and raises/bonuses for everyone need to remember it will be big increases in what we pay for tickets that will HELP make that money.

SU will need to pay him Saban and Harbaugh type money. He deserves

The stipulation if being thr highest paid coach after a National Championship win is not realistic anymore.

One reason is because it's just outrageously priced.

Second reason is it's hard to say which coach is the highest paid because of base pay, incentives, up front cash, guaranteed, etc.

As someone said you pay him enough to keep him here. Anything more is overpaying

Give him a large bonus, but base his salary off of what his team does next year without Joe Burrow. It's not like he's going anywhere.

I have always wanted coaches to be paid on results. Bonuses for making a bowl game, making a NY6 bowl, 10 win season, winning the SEC, making the playoffs, and of course making the championship game. The grand bonus is winning the national championship. Make the bonuses add up to being the highest paid head coach that year - next year you start over. Just my 1.5 cents - inflation.

Win or lose, he deserves a raise.

Sure he does, but the "win or lose" part will change my answer substantially.

At this point, $4.5M with loss, $5m with a win...not more than that if he wants to keep a $4M budget for coordinators

You don't get $6-7m if you're expecting to pay top coordinator money on BOTH sides of the ball, which sounds like what's about to happen with Brady getting a raise.

No more than 6 IMO. Keep the staff well paid and keep on trucking. I mean he’s not going anywhere. 6 is fair compensation.

Exactly what his contract states.

I love CEO as much as the next guy, but you gotta pump the brakes. Look at coaches in the past 15 years that have won a NC. Dabo and saban have been cocsistant, but there are a bunch of coaches that were fired, ours included. Let's win one first, then another then we can talk. THIS IS HIS DREAM JOB, HE AINT LEAVING ON HIS OWN.

I thought his deal was not to pay him a lot of money but spend the money on the coordinators?

need to? He isn't going anywhere. A million dollar raise and more years would probably be fair

He will get a 1 to 1.5 million/year raise and the coordinators will get half to 3/4 what he gets.

That was a deal to sign him for less than normal money for LSU to pay more for top coordinators. After what he is building and if a perfect record, SEC Championship, National Champs = Pay that DUDE!!

DO you realize Charlie Strom, Willie Taggert, Mark Stoops, Scott Frost are making way more than O, and check this list out. Coach O has beaten the 7 out of the 10 highest ranked paid coaches just this year alone. If he beats Dabo at that blank #1 spot that will be 8 of the top 10 highest paid coaches... For the guys saying they need more time to see what he does, I call bullshite!! Give that man a fat raise!! He beat Malazahn and Smart 2 years in a row

This list is as impressive as our amazing season

1.
2. Saban Alabama 8.85m
4. Jimbo Fisher Tex A&M 7.5m
5. Kirby Smart Georgia 6.87m
6. Gus Malzahn Auburn 6.82m
7. Tom Herman Texas 6.75m
9. Lincoln Riley Oklahoma 6.3m
10. Mullen Florida 6m

Are you suggesting he doesn't get a raise?

This.

Dangerous territory. We should be celebrating for sure, but this will not look good if we abandon the supposed model since it is working now.

Again, are you suggesting he not get a raise?
