Only a little.
There was a time when it was expected we win that game.

All games can go either way. Where did you have Troy last year?

We have six games we will probably win, four games that are competitive, and two games we will probably lose. Nine wins seems like the smart bet. I’d put my money on 8-4 because I think Orgeron is gradually sinking.

If he can go 9-3 with a first year starting QB I think he has a chance, especially if he wins the bowl. Either an 11 win season or 9 wins, with one over Bama, creates a little momentum.

That's a pretty big IF............

Yeah

Like I said it's a hypothetical question.

People seem to have a difficult time comprehending what that is around here.

the "first year starting QB" thing is a myth. Many teams have excelled all around the country with first year starters at QB.

It's just an excuse.

Do you have a statistical breakdown on the matter? If not kindly shut the frick up

Obviously we'll be subject to listen to non stop misery all off season but does an impressive showing and a win against Miami calm people down some?

its a step to improving from 9-3 , but anything less than 9-3 next year will be met with much wailing and gnashing of teeth. plain and simple.

Kirby made it all the way to a NC with a true freshman QB. He took it as a challenge where 0 would Game it as a great excuse.

So a double digit win against Miami gives you no signs of optimism at all?

remember when UT beat ND in the season opener labor day 2016? and everyone said "Texas is BACK!"

well that texas squad went 5-7, lost to kansas, and fired their coach. ND went 4-8.

like I said, he isnt getting compared to miles or saban next season. he went 9-3 in 2017. if he wants to keep his "dream job" he better not do worse than that.

I just want good results for the team. I think a nice win against Miami could show they were prepared right unlike last year. It would show me that he learned from his biggest blunder last year, not having the team ready.

I think O is the wrong guy 100% but of course I'm willing to change my mind if he proves otherwise. However I wonder if the opposite is true for the pumpers. At what point does a pumper wake up and look at the shite show every single move has become and not want that? If he goes 6-6 do you just chalk that up to having a freshman qb and a new offensive coordinator? Or does he skate no matter the results?

I don’t cheer for opposing teams and I don’t want LSU to lose. What do you not understand about there being a difference between wanting to lose versus expecting to lose?

I understand the difference. But 9-4 is 9-4... you make it sound like we went 0-12.....

Winning solves almost all issues with the fan base. It’s pretty simple, unless you are in the SEC facing top flight coaches and players on a weekly basis. You need a great HC to be successful. We will see what O does.
