Hope and pray, powerman. Of course, we have quite a bit of evidence to tell us how O’s tenure will go, but you can try to grasp at some straws in an effort to believe otherwise.

Stay negative Mo...never change.....the world needs miserable pricks too.

FYI: You dont have to be on the O-Train to think positively about that game!

Go 4-0 to start the season and I will definitely start looking at things differently.

I think that's reasonable. That would include a neutral site win over Miami and a road win against Auburn. Get both of those under our belt and I think you'll see a lot of confidence from the team and a reinvigorated fan base

Why do you people need delusional positive pumping?

Facts are,

- LSU won only 8 games against 5 SEC teams that replaced their head coach
- lost the bowl to a less talented notre dame team.
- fired an assistant after only one year because the head coach was meddling in the offense (which he promised not to do)
- could not recruit a CB to “DBU”

I don't. I'm asking a hypothetical question. Is that so difficult to comprehend?

The ND loss sucked and I didn't agree with the decision to kick the FG, but I don't put too much stock into the result of meaningless bowl games. The rest of the stuff you posted is reason to be concerned though IMO. Although, I'm more concerned about O hiring a coach that doesn't coach the type of offense he wants to run and not vetting properly versus the meddling stuff.

None. It’s not about one game, one lost recruit or one bad hire.

It’s about the direction of the program. You either believe O can build/manage a championship level program or you don’t.

And there is zero evidence he can build one.

If we come out prepared and look like a more complete team in game 1 bs a top 10 team is that not at least some evidence that things might be improving?

It wouldn't be literally 0 as you suggest

That 4 game stretch will tell a lot about this team and staff.

La Tech shouldn't be considered a cake walk either.

Welcome to the Rant! Nothing ever changes here. LSU and all sports representative there of suck! The coaches are the worst...ever! The players, we deserve better. WE are the true fans of LSU and LSU deserves better...than us!

LOL one game doesn’t make a program or give confidence O can build one.

It’s one game.

Worst offense since 2009 in terms of stats that matter, points.
Dodged a bullet in that the SEC was pretty terrible below East and West champs and maybe bipolar AU.

That said, if LSU looks prepared and does well vs Miami, I'd see a way forward until tough at home AU.

Our season will probably end against Bama at the latest as usual.

Doing that takes away half of O's impressive wins as LSU coach.

He's not going anywhere next season unless he has a Johnny Jones type record.

Miami lost their last 3. Had several close calls they pulled out earlier in year against poor teams. They pounded Notre Dame and had a good win over va tech. This is a game LSU should win if they are going to be relevant in 2018.

Yeah previous staff was money in openers, if the goalposts haven't moved again.

Agreed. This game is pivotal for the season and his career at LSU
