The first and fourth quarter offense was terrible. 3 straight red zone field goals we haven’t seen that all year

I was more disappointed when they gave up the late TD.

Sounds like the defense and the coaches were as well.

Didn't Auburn score 4 TDS in the first quarter on them? Didn't Tenn put up 20 plus. That said, lsu could have scored more in the 4th if they wanted.

I thought we played ok, all things considered. They were fired up playing #2, and their backs were against the wall. They got a couple stops inside the redzone. That doesn't surprise me, they're physical and our running game is more opportunistic than dominant. We wore them down. I do think it's essential to get Price in the game more, he's the more powerful runner.

With the way MSU played the game by slowing the game down, combined with our conservative game plan (compared to other games) and the FGs 36 is not surprising.

We went real conservative in the 4th

if just ONE of those three first-Q chip-shot field goals would've been a TD, then our 40+ scoring streak is still alive...

My disappointment was the 3 FGs. We have a 6’6” receiver in Stephen Sullivan. Can we not toss one up in the back of the end zone for him to high point it for a TD? Surely he can jump a foot and a half higher or more versus a defender.

Play calling was different. They wanted to run in red zone.

Remember some years back when LSU thrashed Tulane by 4 TDs and the board wanted Les fired? Good times.

I agree. I'm 100% convinced that LSU can go undefeated and win the National Championship, yet, if we don't score 100 and hold opposing offenses to less than -100 yards, people are going to bitch about how it happened, no matter what. A National Championship and Heisman Trophy winner. Nope. Good, solid suggestions on how we could have been a super duper mega undefeated team.
