Has there been any new news about renovations to the P-Mac? If the basketball team does good this year Coach might leave because of lack of interest.

We need to give the man new or a facelift to the facilities.

That's all I got....

Oh great, this conversation again.

Wade’s highest priority right now is renovation and expansion of the basketball ops facility...period. And that will happen in the very near future. Several have said that the next big facility announcement LSU makes will be about this project.

As for the PMAC, there will be renovations. Outside of eliminating the ramps and redoing the outside entrance, plus adding premium seating, no one knows for sure what will be done. But it is highly unlikely that a brand new facility is in the near future. I for one am good with the PMAC remaining the facility and just doing renovations to modernize it.

PMAC* and no the PMAC sucks, it either needs to be town down and a new arena built or it needs to be completely renovated. Its not even a top 10 SEC arena right now

I agree with you that it is not awesome; but it is also not as bad as some make it out to be.

I definitely agree it needs renovations to bring it up to speed with more modern arenas and amenities. Which is completely possible to do. Just not sure I get the “we NEED a new arena,” crowd.

I’ll also admit that part of my reasons are for nostalgia. The PMAC has been a part of many different experiences and life moments for me from since I was 5 years old.

Why do people hate the ramps so much? They're iconic.

The last thing I want is another generic, no personality modern structure like what was done to the west and south sides of the football stadium.

And what about the new Alex Box? Is that what you want - another craptastic budget wonder? Because it's what you'll more than likely get.

LSU is a football school, followed by baseball. Roundball will always get the scraps.

I guess I’m in the minority saying I like the PMAC. All I would want is a little more light in the uppers.

What kind of special are you? You realize men’s basketball is the second most profitable sport on campus, and besides the Deep South and west coast, no one cares about college baseball. It’s why the ncaa tourney brings in $900,000,000 annually. Only 5 sec schools turn a profit, with lsu only making $1.5 million.
The entire college baseball tournament only made $9,000,000. So there’s that

In the VERY NEAR FUTURE (if not already), basketball will surpass baseball in popularity at LSU. If you travel 50 feet off campus, nobody gives a rat's arse about college baseball.

In a perfect world, I would build track and field a new set up for indoor/outdoor across from the box and tennis facilities. I would then build a brand new PMAC to go along with the architectural theme across campus on corner of Nicholson/N Stadium. You can then add more building to the current basketball ops. The new arena could be built in such a way to hold large concerts to add revenue streams and a garage built between that and the natatorium. In the location of the now demolished PMAC, you could build a championship village with an auxiliary nutrition center that serves all student athletes that don’t have complexes across Nicholson.

Coach Will Wade is the best basketball coach LSU has ever had and it’s not even close.

I know chinoyang would agree

Alex Box wasn'properly built. It was a rush job to seat 10k and be the biggest not the best

1. Basketball is more popular than baseball everywhere...in college.

2. First we need whatever WW wants in terms of a practice facility. The one we have now was poorly planned and is not sufficient. This must be done ASAP.

3. I, a 44 year season ticket holder to LSUMBB, prefer we build a new, modern arena. The PMAC is very dated and is beyond modernizing. Leave the PMAC for gymnastics, volleyball, etc. Build a basketball only arena with at least 13K capacity.
