I guess people who can't afford tickets aren't real fans.

I grew up in Alabama with no ties to LSU before I came over to go to school.

My first game was in 1980. Tiger Stadium has been in my blood ever since. There is truly no place like Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night.

Since 1972 with my dad. 1983-1988 at school there and ever since on my own.
Yes, I definitely remember those hard years.
Dinardo did help us take the next step with our program. He played Herb. That boosted recruiting and allowed NS do what he did.
I think people are frustrated b/c our program was just building up when Satan left. We were not quite there as far as being as dominate as we could or should be in their minds. I do share some of this sentiment. However, I always remember where we were and balance that against the mediocrity that is.
With a coach making 4+ million dollars per year we should be dominating, playing for first, year in and out.
We have fallin down a notch. That is biggest problem you are reading about on here.

I went to lots of games before 2000 - I graduated in 1979. Let me assure you that the negative fans are nothing recent. You heard the same stuff back in the Mac era. "Help Mac Pack" was very real, and I knew countless LSU "fans" people who said "I hope LSU loses every game this year so that $#*@ Mac gets fired". The only thing that's really changed is that there is an internet for people to use to spread this stuff.

I attended games throughout the 90s. I was in the womb at the Earthquake game in 88. I started school at LSU in 07. Senior this year

My first game was in 1965 . My dad took me on a train from New Orleans to see the Rice game. LSU finished the year 8 - 3 with a 3-3 SEC record. They played Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl and won. I looked it up and they finished # 8 in the final rankings .It was one of my fondest memories as a child.

My freshman year at LSU was 1958 and I attended all the home games and of course they won all their games and were no.1.

Good lord, I have underwear older than you. It was a boring game and unfortunately I left early to get home to my new wife and daughter. When I got my Mike's cage on my way to married student housing, I heard the stadium erupt. sucks.

Urban Meyer went 9-4 and finished 3rd in the east with Tim Tebow as his QB.
How can you say dominating when we are playing other coaches who are paid the same if not more? Playing for first, yes I agree with you. I do believe we did that last year. We were leading Ole Miss and Alabama in the 4th quarter. If we win both of those, we go to Atlanta. In my mind, thats competing for first.

1977 - Game Usher with BS Troop 101. I still remember discovering the smell of bourbon for the first time and getting lots of cups of ice for the thirsty fans.
