it's not about winning or losing, it's about how you played the game. Bama, and a lot of other teams, may kick our arse on the scoreboard, and even in the trenches, but we showed them we aren't pussies and can line up and take a punch in face and a kick in the balls with the best of them.

F it, I say we do it again this year and show them how tough we really are. Who gives a crap about trying to win football games, that's for pussies.

Who's talking about running an air raid offense slick?

I like it when it gets you 3 to 4 ypc with a few long carries here and there, but ultimately, I like to see us catch them off guard and burn them on a long pass for a TD.

I understand the importance of mid range passes to get first downs, but mid range passes are just boring as hell. That's why I hate the Ole Miss offense so much. That dink and dunk shite is just so boring except in the red zone.

I agree with you on this. I love to run rough shod over the other team. One of my most satisfying games in recent years was doing that very thing to Ole Miss a few years ago when they came into Tiger Stadium ranked #3 in the country.

...and yes, if running it 90% of the time doesn't work then DON'T DO IT!!

I love physical smash mouth football, but I also understand the need to keep the defense off balance.
With an efficient short-medium passing game mixed in.

Nobody is winning the SEC without some semblance of a passing game.

Tigers haven't shown as yet, that this can be accomplished with BH as the QB.

OK, yeah yeah yeah, he's a Junior now and will be new and improved. Blah blah blah. Do it on the field against Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

If you say you can walk on water, then walk on water or let somebody else have a shot.............

Is this where you tell us all about how Etling is the best QB on the team again?

You can change Air Raid to one dimensional and the answer remains the same. Fact is, no one has won a title with a one dimensional offense since the mid-90's Nebraska teams.

LSU will be able to win 9-10 games with a heavy lean on the running game next year.. The question is, and has been every year other than 2013 since Les' NC, will they be able to beat the 2-3 teams that can stop the run?

ETA: 225 YPG passing and 2 total TDs per game are the magic numbers, IMO. If LSU can get that out of the QBs they will be very hard to beat next year.

For reference, they averaged 180 YPG passing and 1.4 TDs per game in 2015.

ZERO. End of discussion.

Typical of you. There's no middle ground between attempting zero passes in a game and attempting 100.

Nobody wants air raid. What anyone with a brain who wants the team to win wants is the ability to throw when we need to and throw well enough to keep teams honest so they can't stack the box against the run.

And, to stoop to your level, how many national championships have been won by teams that did not attempt a pass the entire season?

ZERO. End of discussion.

See how much sense that makes? It's exactly the same as your stupid question.

Love LSU's offense when it works. Have no issue with ramming it down teams throats. It works well most of the time. But of course LSU needs to be able to throw the ball better.

If they are running the plays correctly in practice I have 100% faith the staff will use those plays. JMO

3 Yards & a cloud of dust. On 3rd &7 incomplete pass. On 4th down punt! I hope I am wrong but i expect SOS 9&3.

Contrary to popular opinion on here, 2011 O wasn't flashy, but still glorious working in concert with ST and D playing keepaway.
Most Ds were toast in 4th and RZ offense was money. If LSU can get similar 45% 3rd and 93% RZ conv, it should be another fun ride.

The problem I have is that we have as much or more offensive talent as anyone in the country but we don't use it. smash mouth football works when you are by far the better team. That is not the case a couple times a year. And we seem to lose those games every year.

I am all for running the ball with Buga and Guice but we have to do it in different ways. Dotting the I all the time allows the defense to pin their ears back. Stay single high safety for the 1 possible passing route off a PA homerun pass and sell everyone else out on the run.

We need more of the top WR talent on the field. Look at what Kiffen has done at bama. I thought Kiffen was a total goon but now would love for him as our OC. 6 times a game he throws a quick out or some sort of screen to spread the defense out.

LSU should run plays every game out of the shotgun with Buga and Guice both in the back.

No passing the whole season. probably last accomplished around 1909.
Again peewee you're a complete fail.
You are one of the arse clowns that would complain about an undefeated season if any of the games didn't meet your idea of a "good" win.

No you are the one that jumped to air raid when nobody even remotely suggested it.

Look at Bama recently. Great power running game but out of multiple sets and they have a competent passing game to compliment it when needed.
