ETA: while you can coach up a 225 lb that runs a 4.7, it's also better to have a 255 lb that runs a 4.6, to coach up as well.

"Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." is a misquote. What Lombardi actually said (according to his biography) is "Winning isn't everything, but striving to win is".
This actual quote is muchmore applicable to the situation at LSU. The Tigers DO, at least in my estimation, strive to win all the time. LSU IS in a position to challenge for a championship every year. And that is all we can really ask for.

Its not the NC or bust mentality, its HOW and WHY you lose the games that cost you the NC that is worrisome........bout time the finger is pointed where it needs to cause if you cant do that then you are in denial mode!

I remember Skip telling us that after he won his first NC Dale Brown came over to shake his hand and he tells Skip that you screwed up. Why? We just won the NC. You will be expected to win it every year now.

We ended up with too many busted disgruntled fans every year. That carries over to the next season. It's a fn beat down. WE ARE NOT GOING TO WIN THE BCS EVERY YEAR! Deal with it

I'm very bothered by the mentality because people will bash a 10 win season when programs like Mississippi state and Tennessee would kill for that right now. Realistically our expectations can't be too high, and next season could be brutal..seriously. Our loss of talent and playing Flirida and Georgia? We better have have an 8-4 or bust mentality.
