How many of you are ok with Kelly keeping our special teams coach?

I am all about giving a coach time, but I think we had a whole year of ZERO improvement.

Wait until the senior bowl is over. It's basically coaching winter meetings over there.

I think Kelly knows what he is doing and I am not going to question his decision until we start seeing 7-5 seasons. I think some of the issues were due to a limited roster.

Me. Because he’s here for recruiting not coaching.

Knowing his role outside of ST, I’m fine with it

I’m ok with anything Brian Kelly wants to do. He’s a top 5 coach in college football.

I think the whole staff got 1 yr of grace considering the roster turnover and low spring numbers they came into.

All the kickers, punters back will help, adding Anderson and few others who can return will help. Adding a lot of game experienced transfer guys, and having a nucleus of roster guys for a calendar yr will help build that overall block and cover unit.

The spring last yr was spent teaching them how to live every day - lift, eat. Sleep, train, film, etc the way they wanted them to. Hopefully there's less necessity for that and can be more applicatoon based on playbooks and assignments.

I am for it. ST this year was more about personnel/depth given our numbers. Needs improvement, but where Polian earns his keep is being like the Head of Personnel, he is the guy that hits the portal and does the scouting for guys that LSU should bring in. Very good at working with Kelly in terms of Roster Management.

I will say this. If Polian remains as ST coach and they contribute to multiple losses again, all of it will be on BK for keeping him. We'll see.

The failure to have his wing and TE players step inside first on the FG and PAT that were blocked in the Florida State game is inexcusable. And don't give me that crap about having an inexperienced roster and being "new" to the program. It's literally one of the first things you teach for this protection. Even in high school, it's rule #1. There were plenty of other gaffs throughout the year but many of them were player mistakes. LSU lost the FSU game because of Polian's inability to teach a fundamental. I'm for him staying on as a recruiter, but he's no special teams coach.

Special teams sucked this year, but let's wait & see what he can do with a full roster to choose from.

He's had good special teams in the past. Be patient & give him a little time.

He's way too good of a recruiter & portal evaluator to just toss aside after 1 year.

Look at the big picture.

I’m okay with whatever Kelly thinks. And if this board is against it, then I’m confidant it’s a good idea. Bunch of smug morons!

What if I’m not ok with it?

How important do you think you (or we) are?
