The helicopter tour sounds incredible! How many people are on the helicopter? I’ve flown helicopters many times back in my oilfield days and just thinking about this for a bucket list for my 70th.

Flying from MSY to LAS Wednesday and return on Tuesday in order to get the cheapest fares. Not sure where I'm going to be staying but am debating between the Linq and Flamingo to be close to center strip,. Also considering Resorts World but that is somewhat north of where I want to stay. Just me.

I can’t answer for them but my wife and I did the tour year before last. It was a great trip with 4 other passengers. It was a much smoother and comfortable ride than I expected. It lasted about 2.5 hours including a stop for fuel just outside of LV as we fly back in. The company was Maverick.

Chicago Midway to Vegas Sat-mon. Avoiding the slots as they will be tight as you can make em due to it being a holiday weekend. Meeting up with LSU pals for indoor drinking and cigars.

Leaving Atlanta early afternoon Friday for Las Vegas on a non-stop flight and returning to Atlanta on Monday around 2:00pm on a nonstop flight. I've already purchased a round trip shuttle (minivan) online for just $71.50 from the airport to MGM Grand Resort.
Since there are 5 of us (3 children), the Total Sports Travel wanted us to get 2 rooms at the Aria Resort since the maximum number of persons allowed per room reservation is 4 when all 5 of us would fit comfortably in the 520 Sq ft rooms with 2 queen beds and a sofa. I ended up finding a good deal at MGM Grand through Costco Travel where we'll be in the Executive Queen Suite facing the Strip. 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa in a 675 sq ft room. I even bought a collapsible cooler (60 can capacity) for the room since using the refrigerator isn't free in most resorts on the strip.
We have reservations at the Sphere on Saturday afternoon and have an itinerary to eat at restaurants along the strip with reservations throughout the day. I reserved tickets to the ARTE Museum at Aria for Saturday morning before lunch. Bought a 3 day Monorail pass so we can travel up and down the LV Strip and one of the stations is at MGM.
I'm going to wait until the weekend to find tickets for the LSU-USC game on the ticket apps. Luckily, there's a free tram that starts at Excalibur and goes to Mandalay Bay, which should be a short walk to Allegiant Stadium.

You're right. The correct statement would have been to say that I am avoiding the main travel day
