How long do you expect us to keep each member of the coaching staff?

A million variables will come into play but just at surface level, these are my thoughts.

BK: He's either retiring or being fired here. I don't see a scenario where this isn't his last stop on the coaching trail.

Sloan: This is an interesting one. He's had a meteoric rise so far and is now the OC. If things keep going in this direction I'd imagine he gets a HC opportunity in the near future, however I'm hoping that at minimum, he wants to see Underwood through.

Baker: Same kinda scenario as Sloan. If he has an elite season or two, he's gonna be getting HC offers. Hopefully he wants to wait for the perfect situation and sticks with us for the next 3-4 seasons.

Hankton: I love this dude but think he'll be the next to leave. He's gonna get an OC opportunity somewhere and I'd imagine he's gonna take it. I give it a season or two before he takes a chance somewhere else.

Frank: Lifer (thank God)

Brad Davis: Lifer (thank God)

Bo Davis: He just got straight paid and this is his alma mater. I think it's possible he stays here for the rest of his career. But certainly the next 3-5 seasons.

Peoples: Don't know enough about him. Doesn't seem like a guy that's trying to climb the ladder for a DC position. I'd imagine he sticks around for some time unless there's a wildcard team that's near and dear to his heart and they come knocking.

Nagle: Local guy who has held higher positions at smaller schools but I think he sticks it out here as long as BK is around. TE is one of BKs specialities so I don't think there's even a lot of pressure on Nagle to deliver. Just needs to get special teams in the right place.

Olsen: I know nothing about Olsen and have no clue on what his future holds here. Seems like Blake vouched for him so if Baker were to leave, I'd imagine Olsen goes with him.

Corey: 24 hours ago a lot of people were ready to move on. Now, he's the golden child again. I think Corey is here for as long as we'll have him. Not a threat to jump anywhere. He's only gone if it's on our terms.

I don't think Baker wants to be a college HC, pretty sure if he leaves it would likely be for DC in the NFL

Heard it from the horse's mouth that he won't leave for just any HC job, but he does want to be a HC and will wait for the best option as long as he needs to. His wife is from here, so getting to be near immediate family is worth it's weight in gold, according to Coach Baker

Looking at these names, this really may be the best staff overall in college football. BK has done an outstanding job at building it after a few mishaps

To answer the OP’s question, hopefully we can keep all for the next 3-4 years. That’s our opening for a natty run.

Same. Spoke to him at a conference and he said he wants to go the Kirby route and it would have to be the perfect job.

Yea, I doubt Sloan would leave before he has a chance to completely develop Underwood.

Hopefully the staff stays until we either win another national championship or at the very least both offense and defense has the depth to win one with whatever changes come at that time.

I’ll be happy if they can get the defense playing like LSU of old and can stack up talent on the roster. If we just run into a better team and happen not to win but play well and it’s not because of a lack of talent or depth then I’ll be fine with that. I can deal with losing, if the other team just plays a little better and it’s clear both teams are very talented.

If Bo Davis can get our DL to stop the run and we can get some decent pressure on passing situations then that will be huge for this years team. If the defensive staff can get them to tackle with some intensity and actually bring them down, that would be huge as well.

Do those two things and this defense will improve massively. Stop with the shoulder tackles and wrap the man up would be a big improvement.
