Say we have a 7-5 next season . Then a 9-3 and maybe fall back to 8-4 the following year. Are we calling for his head after three seasons?

Yep, trained monkey and all that.

Has 3 years like the previous 3 coaches.

ETA:Saban was 4 but the program wasn't what it is now.

You can't judge by what other coaches have done in the past, they all had a minimum floor of talent from the previous team to work with. This new coach will have to hold together as much of the current recruiting class as possible, but he will now have to re-recruit the current roster of players to stay out of the transfer portal.

I think this is what lead to announcing the separation with Ogeron now, I think Woodward would like to fill the position before the end of the season so there is time for the new coach to say ad much of the current talent pool as possible, and to begin signing recruits on the early signing day.

People who don’t respect or understand process use qualifiers like what you’re talking about. Sadly most of the Rant falls into that category.

I’ve heard from the O haters this would not be a rebuild. Be interesting to see what they say if we have players transfer and our next class sucks.
enough. Get O's sack out your mouth. You can ride with LSU or ride out with Farmer Ed.

or don’t get your arse kicked so much when there’s so much talent on the roster. Having the worst defense in school history or breaking 20 yr old winning streaks making bo nix look like a heisman winner. Not asking a lot.

This^^^^^

Field a team that can play functional football, knows their assignments and isn’t shrugging their shoulders at their teammates 7 games into the season.

New coach has to hit 8 wins or the seat is hot out the gate.

lying a-hole lol. The offensive line alone needs an overhaul. There are no decent centers on campus. The next coach will have work to do to fix all the frick ups your coach made

Time to move on and glad O is gone. All season long the threads have been losing with all this talent. If you have all this talent then there would not be much of a rebuild.

My take is O at LSU did a great job recruited plenty of talent however this team has been decimated with transfers, injuries, compliance issues, opt outs and misevaluations of character and abilities.

Still talent on the team but not spread around at each position with depth.

Not a total rebuild but plenty of work to be done keeping this recruiting class together finishing strong, also retaining our existing players.

The expectation for any lsu coach should be to make the CFP every 3 yrs and to be in a NY6 bowl every year.

I even think that's conservative

I guess you think he should have ran on the field and made the tackles for the players.

3 years is the standard how. If both Les and O can do it surely a competent coach should have no issue

I'd be ok with a 8-4 the first season. Year 2, we need to be a contender.
