(LSU) Jayden Daniels Stats:
556 Yards, 6TD 0INT, 82.1 QBR

(ALA) Bryce Young Stats:
644 Yards, 9TD 2INT, 87.0 QBR

(ARK) KJ Jefferson Stats:
770 Yards, 6TD 1 INT, 68.1 QBR

(FLA) Anthony Richardson Stats:
423 Yards, 0TD 4INT, 35.9 QBR

(UGA) Stenson Bennett Stats:
952 Yards, 5TD 0INT, 92.9 QBR

(TENN) Hendon Hooker Stats:
844 Yards, 6TD 0INT, 86.3 QBR

(UK) Will Levis Stats:
882 Yards, 6TD 4INT, 53.3 QBR

(MSST) Will Rogers Stats:
977 Yards, 10TD 3INT, 62.7 QBR

(MISS) Jaxson Dart Stats:
543 Yards, 3TD 2INT, 77.9 QBR

(SCAR) Spencer Rattler Stats:
722 Yards, 2TD 5INT, 32.6 QBR

(AUB) T.J. Finley Stats:
431 Yards, 1TD 4INT, 55.3 QBR

(MIZZOU) Brady Cook Stats:
626 Yards, 4TD 3INT, 58.3 QBR

(VANDY) Mike Wright Stats:
426 Yards, 6TD 1INT, 46.4 QBR

(A&M) Haynes King and Max Johnson Stats:
King: 461 Yards, 3TD 2INT, 30.1 QBR
Johnson: 163 Yards, 1TD 0INT, 47.0 QBR

Obviously a small sample size but Daniels is matching up well around the league statistics wise with the other top QBs in the conference. He has a great chance to improve his stats against New Mexico and Auburn.

Plus, the SU game was like playing a HS team. Still, he’s doing a fine job and I look forward to seeing his progress.

He was also benched early and lots of the other QBs listed had “gimme” games also.

Anthony Richardson may be the biggest overreaction to week one in the history of sports.

This board must hate bennet and hooker. They don’t have any interceptions. I was told on here by people who trash Jayden that a mark of a good qb is one that has interceptions

Yea, but, and this is a big if…IF he manages to figure out how to be a consistent and effective passer, he would be the next truly game breaking QB. That dude is insanely physically gifted and has all the tools needed to be a Cam Newton 2.0.

He played a little over a quarter. Everybody else also had gimme games. Bryce Young had 5 TDs vs Utah St and then had 2 ints vs ULM. Daniels has actually played 2 decent power 5 schools.

KJ Costello.

Started vs LSU and broke SEC records (over 600 pass yards and 5 TD to 2 ints). Over the next 3 games worth of stats combined, he had 1 TD to 7 ints and only had 50 more pass yards than he did in the one game vs LSU.

Edit: nice post, a lot of people are Luke warm with him. I’m really high on him. Dudes a gamer and knows how to win.

He’s not Burrow. So some here need to stop thinking we'll have a JB every season.

The guy MAKES PLAYS. Also, he’s careful with the ball. Which is an underrated skill. He gets twitchy now and then, so far he has stayed calm, especially when the line collapses.

Add in rushing yards to total yards and he might be leading or close to leading in total yards

Makes me feel better about having to go on the road in these 2 games. Hopefully we can beat either Tennessee or Ole Miss and be sitting at 6-2 with 4 SEC wins already in the books. Would be vast improvement in a short time considering the last 2 seasons.

Just checked. He’d be about 6th if we went with total yards, but he’d go up to 8 total TDs also

Yea but nobody was saying he would win the heisman and comparing him to one of the greatest college football players of all time like they were with Anthony Richardson.

Which I thought was wild because if you look at the statistics from week one Anthony Richardson and Jayden Daniels had almost the exact same stat line.

I didn't want to believe it, and honestly- who believes any hype coming out of Tenn these days- but Hooker is for real. Until TSIO comes that is.

Even more impressive is that of the QBs with good stats (excludes Rattler), Daniels is the only one who is in his first year at a new school and in a new system.

Never, ever try to derive anything from college football stats before the 6th game. With the amount of patsies on the schedule early on, the stats don't mean much. No knock against Daniels, though, I just think it's to early to pay attention to stats.
