Hell on a 3rd and 18 Sloan would have the receivers running 8 yard comeback routes

It's inexcusable with the skill position talent LSU has available yearly for our offense to be this bad.

Lane Kiffin would average 45-50 points per game at LSU.

While having him would've been nice these days you can't make a decision that hurts the entire program based off getting one kid.

There's a decent chance we're undefeated right now if Underwood is the one scrambling with the ball instead of Nuss.

Nuss isn't necessarily the problem, but he's 100% the wrong personnel to work with an offensive line as bad as ours.

It's the same reason I want to see MVB in there. I don't think he's a better qb than Nuss, but I do think he'll be better in dealing with the lack of an offensive line.

Sounds like he is the problem. LSU needs a change now, if Kelly stays then Sloan gotta go, Now.

Oh don't mistake my OP for defending Sloan. I think both things are true that he isn't the worst OC in CFB but LSU also needs a new OC that can be a truly elite guy. Both are true is my point.

Talk about delusional. The man is awful and one of the worst OCs in the country. His awfulness is only partly hidden by the amount of talent on this team.

Wow. How absurd to think he is mid tier.

Believe it or not, there are worse coaches than Joe Sloan. Now, don't get me wrong, LSU needs a new OC and frankly, they need almost an entire new offensive staff. My OP wasn't a defense of Sloan because you should never have an average to below average coordinator at a place like LSU.

Wtf are you talking about? Nuss hit Barion Brown on a ridiculous throw but there was a hold on Weston Davis. Then we ran the ball. So lets not make false claims.

It’s generalizations. Don’t pick the one time out of 10 that a deep pass on 3rd and a mile actually worked. 9 times out of 10 it’s either a bad pass or stupid play call.

Sloan sucks at play calling and, I’ve said this since last year, Nuss hardly ever sets his feet when he throws the ball. That usually ends up in inaccuracy. Which leads to missed throws or INT’s.

Name a game where schemed up a defense?

Sad part is, even when he has done a good job scheming up a play, we find a way to screw that up too. Look at the penalty on 88 when we were on the 1 yard line against Vandy. Zavion or whoever it was was as open as a player can get in the red zone but boom penalty. Even when he calls a good play, we find a way to throw up on ourselves.

Easy. When Denbrock left for ND all of us were begging to hold on to Sloan and Hankton even if that meant making them Coordinators. The truth is Hankton had incredible talent at WR(Nabors, Lacy, Thomas Jr.), and we had Daniel’s at QB. We gave the coaching far too much credit for all that talent. Unfortunately, Kelly did the same thing. Unlike us, he should have been able to see that the offensive success was more because of players than elite coaching.

You don't have to be an "Oracle" to figure out what happened with the Sloan situation.

So on point. How many offensive series were EXACTLY these plays. That screen play never works cause our WR's can't block. Only offensive player playing well is TreDez Green. Can you imagine if Jayden was his QB? As bad as i hate to say it, I miss the running plays of Miles. Our OL cannot block for running plays. Don't know what the fix is but it has to be coaching.

don’t think Sloan is the WORST coordinator, I think he’s just meh. Joe Sloan as a coordinator is basically a mid to lower level starting QB in the NFL. He's good enough to be functional, he’ll make some really good play calls here and there and he’s decent enough for it not to be a disaster most of the time but in no way, shape or form does he elevate you at all, which is not something that should ever be the case at LSU. Ryan Grubb at Alabama for example has no running game but has manufactured them into a productive offense. Joe isn’t or doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy that can “make it work.”

Our offense has been awful even on the wins. However, you called it retarded for him to be fired during the bye week…when I said so

Funny how you flip flop

He was in the right place at right time. After Bryce Underwood recommitted, he was promoted to OC.,Horrible decision to elevate him, And Cort Hankins in the dual role.

Are you dumb? Check your post history…
