How important is it to get the Sweep?

It would be nice but a national seed is still right in front of us with Tennessee and Arkansas at home.

If you sweep you have 13 sec wins. You could go 3-6 against ark, TN and ATM and have 16. Sweep SC for 19. Thats a national seed.

After tomorrow LSU will either have 7 out of 12 more games to get to 20 wins in the SEC or 8 out of 12 to get to 20.

It wouldn't suck.
13 wins with 12 to play would give LSU a lot of wiggle room down the stretch.
You could go 1-2 your last 4 series and you'd host a regional.
If LSU sweeps tomorrow and wins 2 of their last 4 series while avoiding getting swept along the way, they'd be a national seed lock imo.
Eta where you end up in the sec standings will matter a lot. One game may take you from second in the conference to the 6 or 7 spot.

I mean winning more sec games is helpful for sure
Essentially 20 SEC wins gets you an automatic host and top 8 seed so however you get there is fine
But sweeping a top 15 team is very helpful for RPI and again- that much closer to the magic number
