It felt like he was all over the place in that game. Since then it seems like he hasn’t been playing great. Not sure what happened but I can’t be the only one who is noticing this.

I watched MSU vs Arkansas and it was clear their RT is hot garbage. He gets beat on nearly every play. Gaye is a good player, but that guy makes everyone he plays an All American.

Other teams concentrated on stopping him and now they have to stop Ojulari. We may see him become more active now as team split resources to the other side?

he hasn't been bad just hasn't made as much of an impact, but he had a batted ball last week and he gets after it. I expect him to have some more games where he makes more plays and some where he isn't as much of a factor.

Our all world DC has moved him to DT all on pass rushing plays which has greatly diminished his effectiveness.

I think Ali has the potential to be an all SEC type player if he can be consistent.

I also think if we can keep getting these kids reps, our defense next year can be really, really good.

Just need some LBs and Safeties to step up.

Teams shifted protection to him which is part of why Ojulari started to show out. This is why having multiple pass rushers is so important. It is easy to eliminate one.

He was great against State and very good against Vandy. He’s been very meh since. Hasn’t gotten much pressure, needs to improve against the run, etc.

I think He still leads the conference in pressures teams are just very aware of him.

If we can get consistent pressure from the other side he’ll get more sacks

He seems to have gone missing. Same with Cox

Gaye was still active
He knocks down passes every game
NFL loves potential, he's probably late first round/second round pick at this point
Not much sack production so he could come back and with a solid sr year be a top ten pick

Right, but that gets Ojulari on the field which has been pretty outstanding. Wouldnt you agree?

Yeah but Ojulari was getting on the field before. There's 2 DE spots and Gaye/Ojulari play different ones. Don't get why he's inside on passing downs. He's far less effective in there and the SDE compensating hasn't been setting the world on fire no matter who it is. Probably says more about our lack of interior push from actual DTs

Like all of our DEs, he can't set the edge and defend the run.

This game Saturday will be very interesting from every perspective.

Personnel and coaching on both sides of the ball.

I haven't rewatched a game yet this year, which is unusual, but I expect to rewatch this one

The saints do something similar on passing downs. They call it a Nascar packagae. I don't have an issue with putting 4 d ends on the line on passing downs. The problem is a draw can burn you in those situations.
