I am in the camp that says he (and every other coach, honestly) should be allowed more time before we call for his job. Or at least make the seat super hot.

Thanks for your opinion, Derek.

I can't wait until your coup is over and you and O are looking for other opportunities. Crappy radio shows in Baton Rouge, LA can't pay that much, can they?

8. recruited 'the beef' which has been a problem with Miles recruiting for years now.

This CheeriO narrative is mostly BS. There were some classes that were lacking in areas like this one has no CBs but the idea that Miles didn’t recruit lineman is false. His last 4 classes we signed a total of 18 OL, 1 class 2014 was too light with just 3 counting late added Juco. But that was bookended by 5 in 13 and 6 in 15. The 4 year avg is 4.5, we’ve signed 4 each of the last 2 years. DL/LB 15 was lacking with only 2. 13 we signed 10, 14 7, 15 9. The last 2 classes 9 and 10 counting a 6’2 245 ATH as probable LB.

you could look at his list of accomplishments

Accomplishments?

We must have different ideas of accomplishment.

In his entire career as head or interim head coach, Ed has:
0 national titles
0 playoff appearences (fairness, this is relatively new)
0 conference titles
0 division titles

So, what exactly are these grand accomplishments?

The fact that Alleva hired O does not mean it was the wrong decision to fire Miles. Miles' firing was more than justified, but thaf fact gets lost because, despite having almost an entire season to find a qualified replacement, Joe hired the worst possible candidate he could have

Miles is a scorpio saboteur who once again has (with malicious intent) successfully removed a key LSU prospect from fulfilling his promise.

Cheerios have lost their everlovin' minds.
I think the reality of the situation has overcome them.

Nice response retard.

I am not a fan of O AT ALL. But I also don’t have shite for brains and can readily understand simple percentages.

Orgeron has a better winning percentage right now than Miles had from 2012 until the day he was fired.

Record-wise LSU has gotten the same (slightly better) results under Orgeron than with Miles in his last 5 seasons.

That’s a statistical fact at this point. Same results so far in the W-L with half the price.

That’s not a testament to Orgeron. That’s a testament to how much Miles sucked in the end.

Now that signing day is over, we have seen he isn't even an improvement over Miles in recruiting.

Couldn’t really be improved on. Really the only way O could improve on anything Les did, it was the offense. So...,,,we hired a d line coach to fix our offense.

Same results record wise for half the price.

Correct me if I am wrong but Les only made $1MM more than O and he had less bonuses/incentive pay than O gets. Additionally, Les' buyout would be almost nothing today (it expires in 2019). O will cost us around 5 million at the end of this year.

So how did you come up with half the price?

Explain how Orgeron costs less than if Les was still here. I would love to understand your math on this.

It's not about Les STILL BEING HERE. It's about who else FKing and Alleva could have hired. Since the big boys just wanted to maintain they had a choice:

Pay new big coach = Amount A
Pay new cheap coach = Amount A divided by 2

Orgeron is the cheap coach.

I have no idea why everyone is assuming I am defending Orgeron. I'm simply stating facts. It's ok to admit Miles sucked hard here his last 3+ years. It's equally true Orgeron sucks now.

Wrong again, 39/55 for Miles 71% > 15/22 68%.
Can't use a calculator? smdh

You genuinely are retarded.

39/55 = 70.9
15/21 = 71.4

No "Yay"

Only tears now. LSU has been on a downward trajectory for a long time now. Hiring Orgeron was just throwing gasoline on the fire.

So were counting it as a better winning percentage even though it’s roughly 40% of the games and we’re not considering the overall SOS either

Sure why not? I'm not even arguing that point. I am making a very simple statement: We have had the same results win/loss wise under Orgeron as we did under late-Miles.

The LSU admin doesn't have a winning mentality - so instead of hiring someone like Herman for 6 million, they hire Fred Flinstone for 3 million.

Their checklist:

New Coach to satisfies fanbase - check
at least same results - check
cheaper - check

In their mind, that was a win.

Yeah I miscounted, but he was interim riding Miles coattails.
Miles still has a better record without cherrypicking the stats 72.1 > 71.4.
Even giving the '16 bowl game, Miles last season 9-3 > 10>4.
