Our fast outfielders have gotten LSU one (1) win in Omaha.

Outside of SB, I've been more concerned about our 2nd-line pitching.

He can get guys with decent speed and power but he loves him some slap hitters

Honestly we won't win another championship I he keeps recruiting this way unless we somehow have the goat pitching staff

Are you suggesting we should be recruiting big power hitters to play the outfield?

Are power teams winning in the new park? I really don't know the answer.

Baseball. There are some very good teams dropping games this weekend and losing series - moreso than many other years.

I'm more concerned about Alan Dunn putting together an elite pitching staff three years in. The closer we get to a full Dunn recruited staff the worse we get

I think he saying he wants athletic guys with the ability to hit home runs. Like a mahtook or Landry and not puny guys like laird

Call me crazy, but if it is good enough to continue getting national seeds, it is good enough to win it all. Hell, even tonight we've scored 5 runs so far. It's not like our offense was the issue.

Um Mahtooks don't grow on trees. And he was really fast too so it's not an either/or decision every time.

I guess my point is, the thread is dumb.

All I'm asking is for athletic players. guys like the Jordan's and the slap hitters won't get us far.

Antoine Duplantis is pretty much the definition of athletic

Players like mahtook are pretty frequent. Mahtook isn't the greatest player but he was athletic and could hit well. Vandys team has a load of players that are similiar to the way mahtook plays.

Low power; high average fast guys aren't even that prevalent either. Stevie, Laird, Sciambra, Duplantis... Raph was slow. Fraley has more power. I don't know where Beau fits in.

Except he is zero power he's a different type of athletic. He's like Andrew Stevenson athletic. Which is fine I'm cool with having a leaf off guy and a 9 hole hitter like Stevenson and duplantis, but we have like 5 guys in this line up like them

Pitching has dominated Omaha.
Homers have hardly been a factor.
