I saw he led in tackles tonight and had an int. I know he was hurt early in his career.

Is he a top half of the league saftey or even higher than average or what?

Obviously I don’t keep up with the browns enough to know and a saftey for the browns can be a great player and never really get much publicity

Just saw a thread was already on the board sorry

He’s had a phenomenal start to the year. He’s played at an all-pro level the first two weeks. We’ll see if he keeps it up.

His 2018 season was one of the 5 best in whole DBU era under Miles/O with Pat Pete, Tyrann, and some other guys.

I know he’s been great this year. But he was drafted in 2020 (after 2019 season) I know he was hurt during 2020 season. How was he in 2021 and 2022 ?

Agreed. It was ridiculous how well he played on all levels in 2018.

2020 - didn't play
2021 - showed flashes of what he could be, but it was a short season for him, due to 2020.
2022 - He popped off the screen at times, and you could see that he had it. Really good year considering.

Better than Greedy Williams, who isn't in the league this year. That is crazy to me.

This. Also, the defense was significantly better down the stretch in 19 when he finally got healthy.

That '18 season by him was as good as DB play LSU has ever seen.

The few games he was healthy in 2019 were also impressive. In fact, he made the whole defense go from average to really damn good. If he was not playing hurt most of 2019, no one could use the defense as the reason they think 2019 was not the GOAT.

Maybe safety, but I still think I’d take Tyrann’s ‘11. But y’all are right, he was a fricking stud in ‘18 and had an all-time season. Sucks that he was hurt most of ‘19 and didn’t get the shine on that team that he absolutely would have of healthy. Glad to hear he’s finally starting to overcome his rookie year injury and is playing at a high level in the NFL.

And we can’t talk about about Delpit without talking about that unreal hustle play he made down the West sideline against Auburn to save that touchdown and maybe, the game. He had no business chasing him down and almost anybody else would have given up. It was the only game my son and I went to that year, and that was the greatest teaching moment I think I’ve ever had with him watching a game live. I still bring it up to him to remind him to never take anything for granted and always bust your arse through the whistle. Cause you never know.

My favorite play of his is when he sent Kary Vincent deep and ruined OU’s trick play in the Peach Bowl.

He absolutely terrorized Burrow in week 1. Same thing with Patrick Queen in week 2.

Joe must be thinkin "Come on guys I thought we were friends!"
