My favorite moment in Tiger Stadium was when he walked on to the field during a TV timeout after the accident. Maybe didn’t have the professional career he’d planned, but he never stopped rehabbing like it was going to happen.

Would have been in jail in todays game for the vicious play. He annihilated people.

The Arkansas game where he decapitated a player was my first time ever in Tiger stadium.

He wa say favorite player. Watching him destroy dudes on the football field and then throwing heat as a pitcher, dude was awesome. Hate he never got his chance in the NFL

He was among the last of the jumbo safeties. The game moved more towards kary Vincent types at the safety position. Great alley player, if he were playing in 2022 might be an OLB

Met him a couple times, GREAT GUY, extremely nice, well mannered and friendly type of person.

And he’s huge for a Defensive Back, guy is a specimen.

He could have had an All-Pro type
Of career had it not been for that accident, sucks that it happened to
Such an overall great human being & phenom athlete that was an assassin Roaming the middle of the field

He was better before he bulked up and just tried to kill people, similar to Laron Landry

He was very good but could have been elite. I’d say he’s properly rated.

anyone know what he is up to these days

Would like to know as I would buy him a streak too.

Cause today its hard to see a Tiger more devoted to big hits or plays for THE TEAM and not their NFL draft status.

People hate my opinion but outside of a few highlight reel footage plays he was overrated as a football player. Great pitcher though.

Everyone involved on that Arkansas endzone hit now has CTE

I was sitting in the opposite endzone (south) and still remember hearing that collision. I thought he had decapitated the wr.

I've heard that opinion from a few other people I know, wasn't he a position player(starter?) before his hitting fell off(due to football, iirc,) and some teammate that knew he could pitch suggested that the coaches give him a look?

Hit you like Ronnie Lott!
Also to make a comeback from the car wreck the way he did was incredible

but probably my favorite memory of him was when he took the mound for the first time, I think it was against Auburn if I recall correctly.

I believe that is correct. Would love to see video of that again. I just remember the crowd going crazy when he ran out to take the mound. Great underrated LSU sports moment

I think CTE was invented on that hit, it was by far the nastiest thing I have ever seen live.

Chad was big coming out of HS, at least 210. Laron was like 175 then put on 60 lbs.
