McMahon had the better resume 3 years ago, by far. In fact, he still had the better resume before this season started.

The difference is Florida gives a shite about men's basketball.

Florida didn’t care about basketball until Billy Donovan got there. If you flash back to a different century, it was Kentucky, LSU, Arkansas, occasionally Bama and Auburn putting out top level teams.

UF did make a final four with Lon Kruger who was an amazing coach. It is crazy to see Tennessee and Ole Miss doing so well. They were doormat teams most of my youth.

It decimated now. Who's fault is that?

Will wade is gone. He ain’t coming back. Get over it and start thinking about who is out there realistically that LSU could get that would turn this around.

That’s curious. How was it “decimated”?

Also did Texas Tech “care” about basketball when Beard was there? Suddenly stop caring when Beard left? Only to start caring again when McCasland arrived?

It’s almost as if good coaches make ALL the difference and fans/donors suddenly start caring when they have a winning coach.

McMahon appears to be the only HC who needs a ridiculous amount of money to just be slightly better than average.

Because Golden is an actual college basketball coach, and stop with all the excuses for Mcloser that Lsu needs to put more money into men's basketball STOP! If the Fat man would have done his homework when he hired Mcloser he would have noticed the only losing seasons Murray State had in the last 30 years were back to back seasons when Mcloser was the head coach, and his only really good year was the year he was hired at LSU he went like 32-2 beat Todd Goldens San Francisco team in overtime in the Ncca tournament. Other than that he was not good at all,but Fat man hired the worst coach in college basketball and has allowed Mcshit head to burn it to the ground!

Yep, there was zero evidence that McMahon would translate to the upper levels. There are a lot of mid major coaches who win games but it’s the ones who show they can beat better teams or at least play a style that’ll translate. McMahon did neither.

Please cite what part of Golden's resume was clearly better than McMahon's three years ago.

False.

Either way rosters can be rebuilt in one off-season in basketball.

Yet, Mcmahon isn't will wade and he's 14-35 in the SEC and 45-47 overall while Wade was 105-51 overall and 55-33 in conference. So Mcmahon is doing something wrong not "being Will Wade."

They also won the SEC in 88-89 under Sloan. I remember Dwayne Schintzius (RIP) always gave us fits.

Chatman, Davis and Lett were very good too but big Dwayne was a monster. Didn’t know he passed, sad to hear.

Not a single top 100 recruit on their roster. 68th ranked class, 35th ranked portal class. They didn’t spend much.
