The problem is that for some reason they don't want people getting to the interstate as quickly as possible which seems like the most obvious way to diffuse traffic. All roads from the stadium send you down Burbank or River road towards Lauberge with none of the lights set to stay green which then backs up the funneled traffic that has to sit thru red lights. It all makes no sense.

It's because of the environment that Murphy Paul has created with BRPD. No cops want to work this assignment because if they hurt anyone's feelings, Paul is gonna make up a reason to fire them. (if they're white)

Lose more games and traffic won’t be an issue.

Stop blocking off so many roads after the game. They scream contra flow then you have hundreds of cars stuck on campus or in the flow because they won't let them into the apartment complexes WELL off campus where thousands of students live.

Traffic flows fine at half time when there is a huge exodus of fans, it doesn't suck until they start blocking roads and then get together for a circle jerk. They remove contraflow before the traffic ends... and suddenly shite flows again.

They make some odd decisions when it comes to blocking roads/turns. After CMU, I noticed that they wouldn’t let the eastbound traffic on Highland turn left (north) on Lee. Which might make sense, except:

1) There was already northbound traffic on Lee Drive, so they were stopping traffic on highland at the red light anyway.
2) They were making all westbound traffic on Highland turn right onto Lee, so there was not really any incoming traffic preventing people going east from turning left.
3) Westbound traffic on Highland was backed up from Kenilworth, probably because it was both completely uncontrolled by cops and the first place you could make a left turn to get to the interstate past Lee Drive.

Also, I don’t really understand the point of blocking all of these intersections without actually using both lanes. In the example above - nobody could go west on Highland past Lee, but you also couldn’t use the westbound lane to go east on highland or to turn north on Lee. So that lane was just empty.

It seems like a land grant university, of all places, could figure some of this shite out. We literally have an entire “transportation engineering” research group.

No road blocks and every light surrounding campus stays green, only the strong survive

Set up some lots in areas on different arterial routes and run rail to them.

Expensive but could help with more than football.

* You probably get about 60-70k max due to fans not supporting Orgeron combined with those who won't support the school due to the COVID mandates that were implemented

* You will have 50-60% gone by mid 3rd quarter at latest due to the performance on the field.
You're delusional if you think 60-70,000 will be there to start the game.

Maybe HALF of that.

I'm pretty sure the LSU fan base is fed up and will make a statement!

Problem is where LSU is located next to the river....you can only go north south or east...
70 % of the people are trying to go south or east...
30% are trying to go north
0 % can go west
Have you ever been to an away game..
TRAFFIC is horrible at bama , Texas, Georgia, Florida, ole miss....
If you don't like traffic. stay home

Three or four years ago it wasn't this bad, with the same number of people or more. Something they have done has made it worse. The Auburn game was not close to full and a lot of people left early, but we were still sitting in traffic on campus at 140 AM.
