How do we change the culture of the student section?

Our student section just looks physically weak. How do we initiate a healthy culture change? We look soft, like our student section couldn’t even beat up a Sun Belt student section. Back in my day that section was filled with baws. These days it looks like a group acting like a student section.
Edit: I want to add I think it starts with the parents. Attitude reflects leadership.

Allow us to play Neck again.

I was a student at the LSU-USC game in 1979. If neck existed then we would have beat their arse.

Were you not there for the ole miss game? They were pretty strong the whole game. Loud, packed in, and stayed until the end.
I have criticized the student section over the last couple of years - but they have been surprisingly better this season. This is a classic old man yells at cloud for no reason post

Can we start with ending the “…and beat the shite out of them!” chant on first down…

TD yells at the student section for rushing the field against Ole Miss... then complains that no one shows up. Classic.

It all started going downhill in the mid 00’s when they started chanting “you suck” after the “o-e-o” chant. I tried to stop them the first game they did it, but it was too late.

This. And the other poster who mentioned adding “you suck” to the o we o chant.
See, here’s the thing… I don’t mind profanity from the student section. I’m even pro-Neck. But I’m not pro-stupidity. “And beat the shite out of them” after “kick their arse” is redundant, and it has its genesis in thinking that the “kick their arse” cheer wasn’t good enough… that it lacked something.
It didn’t. The cheer worked for decades before one idiot added to it because he wanted attention. So lame.
It’s the same deal with “you suck.” The o we o cheer was actually something no other school did and it was cool and sounded awesome in the stadium. But… I suppose that wasn’t good enough either.
But a decade’s worth of “Bitch I’m from Louisiana”… at least we had that. …

I was thinking about this the other day. Seemed like I always just see tons of nerdy looking people. I came to the theory that it’s because the ones you see most are up front and that’s because they’ve been there all morning to get the good seats while the baws are tailgating and drinking. So they’re at the top.

Lets start with the east sideline and then maybe worry about the section that we fill up every game later.
