LT: Weston Davis or Ethan Calloway

LG: Thompson (Northwestern transfer)

C: Moore (Virginia Tech transfer)

RG: DJ Chester (RSSo) or Tyree Adams (RSSo)

RT: Adams or Ethan Calloway (RSFr)

Another OT transfer or guys like Soloman Thomas and Carius Curne may really need to contribute this year to provide some depth.

If Curne is as good as Kelly advertises, he may be ready at OG with a veteran C like Moore.

There’s really no way to even take a stab. I think Adams was listed as the backup LT most of the year, with Weston Davis coming into games as a RT, but neither looked close to being ready. Adams looked completely lost at guard, so I’m not sure if that’s a route they will go with him either. Did Calloway even appear in a game? No clue where he stands. They stuck with Mubenga with a bunch of these guys already on the roster, so I’m assuming they think highly of him.

I’m guessing they add another transfer, but as of now I don’t see them having a set 5 anytime soon.

As bad as Chester was at center why do we think he would automatically be a better starting guard than Mubenga who gained some experience there this year due to injury. Maybe he was just severely out of position and will be a solid guard especially playing next to an experienced center who knows though. Really think Curne and Thomas could come in and push some of these guys for playing time and wouldn’t surprise me if one of them started. OL recruiting and development is just hard to predict. Some times it takes a couple years or more before they are truly ready to compete and excel and sometimes you strike gold with freaks that are just ready early on

LSU hasn`t had the numbers at OL since Nick left.Davis has killed it in
recruiting and we have a number of 3 year sophs and a great fresh class
coming in.I expect Thomas and Curne to push for playing time as fresh
and a couple of the red shirt sophs to come around.

Miles Frazier is supposed to be moved to one tackle position and Adams is supposed to start at the other spot.

Agreed.
The best case scenario for Tiger fans would be getting to the season with a super competitive 2-deep where we don’t have huge drop off due to injury or even just for rotation sake.

The only reason Mubenga started was because Adams had just had surgery and was out. He was the 1st man up across all G and T spots.

Bordelon is a kid that BK dreams about. Don’t count him out.

They need to bring in someone to coach these guys up. Because after 3 years of evidence Davis has proven to be very mediocre as a OL teacher.
