That's really not fair.

Dale was masterful at taking average teams, correctly fitting players into specific roles, and building them into NCAA tourney teams.

89-90 was not that type of team; it was an All-Star type of lineup, and it had an All-Star type of mindset. Best way to put it, there wasn't a single guy on that team that you'd expect to constantly dive on the floor for a loose ball.

Dale could take guys that hustled, and craft a team that would win. He had trouble with taking stars and convincing them to work hard.

He had the best crossover jump shot I’ve ever seen. Such a pure shooter.

yup. he would dribble and launch it with a man in his face and drain it. just sick. not some wide open catch and shoot or coming off a screen. straight up dribble and launch a jumper with a dude in his face. almost steph curry style before steph at the NCAA level.

Because winning a national title is very difficult first of all. Second, while LSU did have 3 incredible players on that roster……….all 3 were still underclasmen. I do think had they all been even 1 year more experienced LSU possibly takes it all.

He had some good runs. Just felt like he had a hard time winning when a favorite. Much better in the underdog role.

He was a better motivator than coach.

Watch the 30 for 30 Shaq explains why they didn't win. They did not play as a team it was him against Chris, he says that during the program. He says they were the reason they lost.

That he never actually coached in, if memory serves.

Did you watch them play? They were talented, but they were young. Always looked like 5 guys playing an individual game.

Roberts only played 1 year—he was academic ineligible his first year. The year he did play was Shaw’s freshman year—he was big, but looked uncomfortable.

CJ was CJ—and I’m not sure he wanted to give up the spotlight because he was more a shooter/scorer than an orchestrator on the floor.

You are a weird arse dude. You said this in response to a thread about Dale Brown being called a terrible coach by Bobby Knight less than a month ago:

LSU fans simping for a lunatic just to shite on one of their own coaches.

This place wild

I notice you crying more than almost anyone else on here, is it all a troll or something? Are you not shitting on Dale Brown now after acting like doing so was sacrilege or something a few weeks ago? This place truly is wild

They used to call Shaq and Stanley the twin pyramids. You have three people that you have to double every time they touch the ball, and you still can't win?

Stumbled on this today. Yeah, I was sure we were winning it all. Team was young. If everyone had returned it might’ve been great encore.
