I think you are just having a totally different conversation from what people really want to know...which is how did Satterwhite perform physically.
Bordelon was physically abused against Ole Miss, and that was a concern going forward. With that in mind, the question is whether Satterwhite was an upgrade.
Nobody argues that the penalties and/or mental mistakes weren't problematic.

Well Satterwhite didn’t get his arse handed to him almost every play against a talented SEC defensive lineman. Something I can’t say about Bordelon regardless of what a PFF grade says about them.

Why are we comparing them in the same game when one played mop up duty?

Bordelon is pretty good in the run game, problem is he’s a turnstile in the passing game.

Satterwhite didn’t have to play against Echols. I think it’s clear that Sattwrwhite is a little better pass protector. Borderlon is a better run blocker. I don’t think this battle is settled at all yet. What does the staff value more? Which weakness do they think they can better hide? Who do they think has the better chance of improving their weakness? I expect both to play a lot Saturday. Evaluate the tape and go from there. Not gonna learn a whole lot from McNeese, though. Probably see some switching in Lexington. But eventually, they’ve just got to pick a guy and rock with him and figure it out.
Wouldn’t shock me if Borderlon winds up with 2 jerseys and comes in at TE on some running plays. He played there early in his career some. Could set up something to hit him on a pass later in the seasons. Could do that with Martinez too. You heard Lane say he challenged the coaching staff to get creative with the personnel we have left and adjust their schemes accordingly. Not just be rind committed to same scheme and “next man up” mentality.
We also ran some plays with Borderlon at LG and Satterwhite at Center. Likely just to get him some reps in case Moore goes down. But Moore is on the smaller end. If Satterwhite can handle the mental aspect of Center, maybe a Borderlon at LG and Satterwhite at Center is a better combo to cover our weaknesses. I doubt it, but I don’t think anything’s off the table at this point. Have to think outside the box.
