You're saying les miles wouldn't have ran the ball if we were getting 10 yards a run? That doesn't sound right to me.

Battle is probably also glad that Holyfield didn’t get the ball 20x. He’s probably still having nightmares about Holyfield destroying him, multiple times.

That's what happens when have to keep 3 backs happy. Sometimes you miss the guy with the hot hand. He was clearly the most physical back on the field.

Play By Play

It’s nice to have this tab for every game played. I guess Elijah running the ball 1 time between the 2nd drive (Where they flat out ran it down our throats & he ran over John Battle IV twice. I’ve never seen a LSU player get done like that. I was yelling, “Throw in the damn towel!!”, in hopes they’d get someone else back there.) & the drive they scored with Justin Fields as the QB is shutting it down by adjustments?? You know what? He never touched the ball again after scoring that TD. So no. There were no adjustments. Georgia panicked. Panicked on the ill advised fake FG & they panicked by not running it on their 3rd drive (Pass, pass, pass, punt.).

they generally had success every time they ran in the first half.

Wrong.

The drive after the fake FG, UGA went 3 and out throwing on all three downs, But the two following drives UGA went 3 and out running the ball on 1st and 2nd down, both drives. They tried to go back to the run, but LSU shut that shite down.

If Georgia would have kept running, they might have won. Damn that dude is tough. Their other HB is damn good too.

Ok, I'm about to get roasted, but he looked like a better version of Guice. And that is saying a lot.

I am not saying that Holyfield is not one helluva strong young man, but I am pretty sure that the arms in the first picture are shopped onto that pic.

They look nothing like the arms on him running track in HS, and they do not resemble the arms of the guy dragging LSU defenders into the end zone.

Disagree. Our tackling was not good on any running back like the UF game. Better than the UF game but not good against UGA.

The poor tackling seems like it’s not an issue of being at the right spot it just looks like guys are over pursuing and not breaking down to make a solid tackle. And if you are a DB trying to bring an RB down like Holyfield tackling the legs below the knee is probably your best option. Smaller guys tackling high only proved that Holyfield would carry you for an extra 5 or 6 yards.
