I know its a longshot, but anything is possible for this year. Give me your thoughts on how we can pull it off?

Win the turnover margin by 2 or 3, pass the ball downfield effectively, avoid yielding big plays on defense.

Does not compute this year. This would rival the when pigs fly game.

LSU would need to be +5 in TO margin, with some being pick 6 or scoop and score. On top of getting a special teams TD

I think there is a few ways. Throw the ball around the yard get lucky score points early and hold onto momentum. Another way would be to reinstate the toss dive, have it be a rainy day and pound them with success running the ball. I don't think we have the OL or RB's for the ball control strategy. So I think we need to play them like Ole Miss did. Take risks and get lucky.

I know we have the corners, to line up with Smith and Mechie, but will we have to play even better than we did on defense against A&M. We stopped there running attack for most the game, except a couple of times. Stopping Najee, will be very important.

If it winds up like the UGA game a few years ago. Bama turns it over five times and LSU runs for 300 yards. That’s the strategy.

Turnover margin..Bama ranks 25, we rank 55
Downfield passing has absent since Myles injury
Bama is a big a play machine while our D is still prone to being had..

On the bright side, traffic will be light leaving the stadium.

Will our defense have to play their best game of the year in order for us to stay in the game

Surely not with this style offense.
Zero running game and no ability to stretch the field is a disaster waiting to happen against a very well coached Bama defense.

Not giving up big plays against the run and forcing turnovers will be paramount to any chance of an upset.

- allow no big plays (no TDs over 40 yards)
- win the turnover margin by 3+
- have at least two big scoring plays on offense (>40 yards)
- score a touchdown on defense or special teams
- Arik Gilbert needs 10+ catches
- Something crazy like a recovered onside kick for LSU
- An injury to Mac Jones or some of Bama's key players

It's going to take the stars aligning.

Stevens shadows Harris all game. Stingley on Smith. Ricks on Metchie. Flott on Bolden. Front 4/Baskerville play the game of their lives.

On offense, it's going to take some backyard trick plays and misdirection/screens/draws called and executed to perfection.

We'll need to steal points on special teams as well and win the turnover battle by 2 or 3.

If all of the above happens, maybe. Quite a long shot

I doubt that we run for 300 yards in the remaining games.

Need Cam Thomas to continue to improve. Need to knock down some threes and force them to play man, instead of zone. Our on ball defense needs to be improved from what we have seen the first few games as well.

In football, we have no chance.
