1-2 wins imo.

That’s big.

How can we lose. We have not had a QB since Flynn!

qb cn make all the difference in the world. just look at drew brees. im not saying burrow will be a brees, but the question is how big of an impact can they make and the answer is all the difference in the world.

as a matter of fact i was at the bookstore today perusing lindy's and athlon's preseason magazines. LSU wasnt getting much love and a common theme was QB issues. both magazines were very obviously published prior to burrow transfer. if they could re-write these i do thing they would have LSU maybe one or two spots higher in the SEC west

Winning or losing! Is that enough?

My guess before Burrow was 7-5/6-6 (with 6-6 being worst case and 8-4 being best case). I'm not hesitant like a lot of other fans are on Burrow. I see him being exactly the type of QB I've wanted for a while now (accurate dual threat). They'll be running a RPO offense with him and utilizing the backs and TEs WAY more in the passing game. They talent at wideout will shine like it hasn't shined since 2013. With that said, I don't see this team being ready to beat Auburn early on. I say it'll be a slugfest vs UGA and Bama, and realistically I see us finishing the regular season 9-3.

A quarterback will only be as good as his Oline, receivers and running game is. Untested RBs, who the hell knows about these receivers and as far as the Oline - we will see. Clapp will be missed

Actually that's wrong.

Great QBs mask a lot of problems. Russell Wilson for example make a lot of people forget just how awful their OL is. A lot of good passing attacks have mediocre RBs that get good looks because of how great the passing game is. The WR/QB thing is vice versa. Depending on the group of WRs or the QB, one could be good, one could be bad.

He is not going to bean impact player like a Cam Newton like some on here believe. We will be extremely lucky if he has 3quqrtra of the production Zack did his second year. He makes us a game better, the kicker should have as big as an impact.

Yeah you're an idiot. Harris in 2015 had more than 3 quarters of the production Mett had in 2013. It's okay that you can't realize a good thing like Burrow, but don't undersell him like that.

I feel like this answer is taking the easy way out, but this team will be as good as its QB is. If the QB, I'm assuming that's Burrow, sets the world on fire, the sky is the limit. If he struggles, it's going to be a long season.

People were predicting as bad as 5-7 before Burreaux.

Now some are predicting a Natty.

How big of an impact is that?

This could possibly be the greatest and most-impactful transfer in the history of college football.

I’ll go 9-3 is most likely, 10-2 is the ceiling.

Burrow completes us. If we execute we have a chance to win every game. He changes the question from the team not being good enough to the coaches not being good enough.

LSU fans have been doing this just about every year for some time.

Exaggerate much?

He would at the very least have to win the Heisman, a national championship and an undefeated season to even be in the discussion.

‘Ship, bitches. It’s happening.

He has the ability to not throw behind wide open receivers or ten yards over their head. And if he’s rushed, he can dump it off or actually scramble for yards. That’s been the difference for this team, and he actually has the ability. Again, ‘ship.

Brandon Harris 2015: 2165 yds, 13 td 6 int
Zach Mettenberg 2013: 3082 yds, 22td, 8 int
70%, 59%, 75%
So idiot I am I guess. I did the math and if you mean that Harris threw 75% of the interceptions that Met did then, you got me.

As far as production though, if Burrow's throws for 2,311.5 yards and 17 touchdowns we have a chance at being a game better than last year.
Which is exactly what I said. I actually think that we had bigger concerns at kicker last year than QB. Mostly because we had bigger concerns at kicker that QB last year. That is why I said that the introduction of a proven kicker will make LSU a game better as well. It actually could have an even bigger impact than one game in my mind.
If Burrow has a season comparable to what Met had in 13, I think we are much better.
But here is the thing, not one person on this site has seen what he can do on the field. Everybody thought met was the savior, until we saw him in 12. Everybody wanted someone else to start in 13' until we saw Met in 13'. Everybody on this site thinks the next QB is going to be the savior. I hope he is but we will know better by the middle of October what we have in Burrow...
