We paid Lane to make that decision. Don’t put a road game in the hands of Baker again. I want Lane making the call win or lose.

An objectively good decision doesn’t change week to week. Bama didn’t convert on two 4th and 1s versus Tennessee and that certainly didn’t help them. The “go for it” folks can’t provide a good argument for why we should have outside of “they felt like it”.

With where we were on the field combined with how shite our line was playing, it was the right call, no matter how much our fanbase cries about it.

Giving up a walk in conversion to end the game is a vastly higher coaching issue.

Plenty of conversion percentages have been posted that 100% agree that going for it was the right decision.

You wasting your time. These type of posters are either trolls or are lacking in emotional intelligence. Much like women and beta men do. You are correct. You gamble with lesser talented teams. You dont nearly as much with talented teams. See Saban. We were on our own 35 yard line with 1.5 minutes left. They had no timeouts. You have one of the highest paid dcs in football and a top 5 defense and KY had no timeouts. It was the right call. Who would have thought our brilliant DC would go prevent.

This is where people go wrong. Not all conversion attempts are the same. LK is way smarter than to use analytics that way and thank God for that. I don’t want a coach that listens to the emotions of the rant.

We were not getting a push all night, UK’s defense was specifically designed to stop the short yardage stuff, we had the wind at our back so we would start with good field position.

If you take out the first drive which was an outlier they averaged 11.3 plays per scoring drive and 4 minutes 19 seconds.

According to the flow of the game it was 100% the right decision to trust your defense with only 1:30 left and no timeouts and a kicker who was sucking. Turns out Baker’s prevent defense is trash but to say that it wasn’t the right decision to punt just shows you the people who follow the surface level takes without thinking too hard and whose opinions on football should not be taken seriously.

The go for it folks are overly emotional excuse makers. Lsu had to resort to trick plays to score on KY. They weren't moving the DL at all. You punt it there, pin them deep with no timeouts....not give them the short field and easy tie or win in regulation...baker killed us with prevent after playing a great 3rd quarter aggressive D

Again...wasting your time. These are overly emotional, likely young, beta, excuse makers. My last post in this woman's stupid thread.
