We are pulling in players to help out on defense. Few new commits recently. I feel it means BK and House are putting the blame on talent and are working hard to change that. Gonna mix up some new assistants in the coaching pool. Wrap your head around it. House for at least one more season.

How long are these evaluations taking? Starting to get the feel that he is staying.

You can’t keep a coordinator that fielded one of the worst defenses ever if he does he better have one hell of an answer

Maybe the players were told that he is gone.

People will think he is getting fired right up to the start of next season.

Call me an optimistic bum but I'm gonna trust Kelly's decision on this one. There was so much attrition on the defensive side of the staff this year that I don't mind giving House a one-year pass if he can show he has a solid plan in place to produce ASAP and have us come out swinging next season

It’s looking like he’s staying. Worst defense of all time and we’re keeping this guy

LSU is going to get crushed next year without JD5 to bail House out. It’s going to get very ugly and Kelly is going to feel serious heat.

I really wasn’t even impressed with the 2022 Tiger defense either, so I’m not sure why Kelly would keep this dude around for another year.

I'm fine with that as long as they prove it.

Kelly said next year was the year. They were one year away, I will hold him to that.

Just can’t lose the opening game vs USC. I feel like if they don’t come out the gate 1-0, it’s going to be a very long and difficult season.

Did anyone actually listen to what Kelly said in his Monday press conference? Kelly explained staff evaluations would occur next week after the staff finished up their responsibility to their duties, namely recruiting.

Week 1 was player evaluations and exit conversations, Week 2 was recruiting focused, and Week 3 (upcoming) will be staff evaluations. At a minimum several defensive position coaches will be replaced, but I after listening to Kelly I expect significant changes. Kelly was not happy with the results and if a staff member was the one that suggested the changes at halftime against A&M, house’s arse is grass.

May it is simply talent and that talent limited what they could or wanted to do. I am going trust Kelly, the dude has a proven track record. Everyone seemed to be pretty happy with House last year. I would like to see a change. I like a very agressive attacking defense and House doesn't seem to coach that. But I will give kelly the benefit of the doubt.

If true, that’s too bad. House is one of the worst DCs in football. The next in game adjustment he makes will be his first.

Kelly had to sign off on the gameplan each week and can override any call at any time. He and house probably agreed to most of the decisions each game.

House probably had more in his back pocket if Kelly approved.

You get the kids to commit. Then have the new DC convince them to stay.
