It’s Auburn and it’s not even close. When Fournette ran wild. 2:30 absolutely miserable.

I was at that game and yes it was up there on my list. UF in 13 was bad. I remember biggest stat of the day was 15K no-shows and almost nobody in the East Upper. I remember people talking about sueing CBS for putting that game in the 2:30 time slot.

And lastly, I saw Ohio State 87 on here. I was at that one too and yes it was a mofo too.

Never been to a LSU football game yet, but my first trip to The Boot in August 2008 was one that i'll never forget. We were rebuilding after Katrina. i was working on a roof at 10:30 am and it felt like my sneakers were melting into the tarpaper. That trip was lifechanging and a big part of how i became a fan of LSU.
Jarvis Landry said it best, "It was hot, man. I mean, if the Texas heat and the Florida humidity got married and had a baby, it would be Louisiana." LINK /

I've been to a lot of games in Tiger Stadium and played a lot of games in the south on Saturday afternoons, however, the 2019 Utah State game was down right miserable. People were being treated for heat related issues constantly. Every 10-15 minutes we took a break just to get out of the sun.

Texas A&M, 1992. I think it was Labor Day weekend. Early afternoon game. Sitting on metal bleachers in the direct sun. I saw at least a half dozen fans helped out, a few on stretchers.

Terrible coach, terrible team, terrible game.

I know the topic is Tiger Stadium and many scorching games have already been mentioned, but how about the 3 season openers at Jerry World? Oregon in ‘11, TCU ‘13, and Miami ‘18 were all scorchers. Different type of heat with less humidity sure, but still brutally hot. The area around the stadium is like miles and miles of paved concrete with very few trees for shade, and the sun just bakes off that concrete.
Inside the stadium was ok with the A/C, but tailgating for those games I just wanted to die.

Tennessee after Katrina. I sat down in the concession line, as I was about to pass out.

Agree on all of these, but global warming didn't exist in 1987 so throw it out. It was all about the Amazon Rainforests disappearing back then.

This is the correct answer! Not to mention the humidity. Our team was done at halftime.

I think it was still 98 deg for kickoff, which was at 0700 pm.

Can vouch for this one as well. 02:30 kickoff on Labor Day Weekend. Brutal.

Definitely agree with App State in 2008 and Auburn in 2016.

Another brutally hot one was Mississippi State in 2004. We won 51-0 and Alley Broussard had 3 touchdowns.

Just found the full game link and watched some of it. Makes me miss the old Jefferson Pilot Saturday SEC games LSU vs. MS State 2004

Auburn 2016 takes the cake. I sat through some miserable heat in a band uniform back in the late 90s, but Auburn 2016 at Tiger Stadium as a fan is the hottest I can ever remember that stadium being. That was legit dangerous heat levels for just fans. I still have no clue how Fournette was able to run that hard all friggin day in that heat. Dude was a beast!

Dude that game was miserable. Literally the only game I've left early. I was there with some longhorn fans and we had to roll out at halftime.

An LSU fan complaining about the heat in Wisconsin?

I don't recall it being memorably hot, but it was definitely a hot, late summer day.
