This game may get into the 80s against a below average offensive team. I’d love to know what we teach on the defensive side of the ball.

I just don't understand the mentality. You're getting to the rim and getting shots in the paint. Why are you jacking up 3s off the dribble early in the shot clock?

These teams are pretty hot tonight even on contested shots. State is shooting 57% and LSU is shooting 56%, but LSU is shooting 45% from 3 and State is shooting 38%. LSU is noy getting clobbered on the boards either yet, so I like where they are at.

Hyatt should play more. He hustles and has a good basketball IQ. I always see him making some smart plays when he is in there and he gets good positioning/boxes out for rebounds in most games he plays in even though he is not a big man.
