Honest Opinion: I Hope Smith is drafted before Chase in order to preserve college sports.

You guys know I'm the biggest tiger fan out there, but as far as I'm concerned Chase quit on us, and I will lay down my personal pride for the sake of the sport I love.
If he is WR1 in the draft, say goodbye to college football as we know it. More and more kids will be opting out early. Mark my words.

You think Chase getting picked 1 or about 5 picks lower than Smith will stop kids from opting out?

It's coming regardless
NFL teams want the best player for their team, period.

Has there been another skill position player that had his stats and looked the part after his sophomore year? I don’t think you’ll see many because most aren’t physically ready. Chase torched a significant number of NFL starters in 2019 and reached his ceiling for college.

Man, you guys sure are all over Devonta’s nuts.

Chase quitting helping other wrs develop. That team wasn't going anywhere anyway with the defensive coaching.

Television killed it. All about the money.

More kids will be opting out early regardless of where Chase gets drafted.

gonna take at least a few years to see the effect.
if a significant percentage of opt outs are NFL busts (as in more so than those who played in 2020), you will see opt outs draft values plummet.

LOL that won’t change a thing.

Unbelievable. The dude won the award for best WR in college football and was an integral part of the best college football team of all time. He had nothing left to prove in college and he was thinking about his financial future.
Why can't you accept that everything in these players' lives doesn't revolve around YOUR passion for LSU.

OP is a dummy but props to him for holding on to his bad take. Lots of people were saying the same dumb shite during the season and are back on Chase's nuts now that it's obvious their dumb take that he'd fall is wrong.

It’s sad what has become of amateurism in this country. It used to be for love of the game. Now it’s all about chasing checks.
