Our defense is still suspect.

Exactly. Just because we saw signs of life against South Alabama doesn’t really mean the defense is capable of doing the. Same against an SEC team with a pulse. A historically bad defense doesn’t do a 180 the next season. Nuss made a couple of really bad choices last night and the better SEC teams will disguise their coverages a lot better than USA did.

Ole Miss is a toss up at this point until we see how they do this week. Bama is very likely a loss. One or two other losses along the way.

That’s my honest assessment.

Nussmeier has to put together a full game in order to beat these top SEC teams. Hasn’t happened yet. He has to be good all 4 quarters. If that happens, with a turnover or 2 on defense, they can be prosperous.

I saw Kelly all over Nussmeir last night, and rightfully so, dude is just inconsistent as usual. One minute he throws a 60 yard TD, the next minute he throws a Pic 6. Smh It the same old same with him, you think he would have solved that problem by now.

100%. Have to play our A game. Next year we should be better with the young players having a year of experience but we are talented enough that if we bring the A game we could win every game. But even if we bring our A game we could still lose. There is little room for error.

maybe so but you forgot Bama has a championship level defense and plays lights out on D. We are not on Bama's level this year. They are pissed off and hungry because everyone esp Mascona has counted Bama out this year with Satan's retirement and some starters leaving. It's not impossible but we have a less than 10% chance of beating Bama this year after seeing that our defense against actual comp is still shiate this year.

no I did not. We were better on Defense then, Bama's secondary was shite that year and it was time after 10 plus years of loses. This year Bama is simply alot better. They are a final 4 team this year again.

Didn't you say no way LSU covers yesterday?

Honest assessment? Look at all the young players playing. In 3 years we will talk about this season being crucial to the run they are about to go on once Kelly flips this roster with his own players.

Durham is a huge development that could mean +1.5 wins, imo. Nussmeier must start to put together complete games, and the defense must continue to be opportunistic.

LMAO...he is top 10 in most categories in the country...is completing around 70% of is passes, over 1500 yards, has 17 TDs (2 rushing) and 4 picks and has started a total of 6 games in his career....and is projected 1st round pick next year...MUCH better than burrow or JD did their first year starting.....this is comical at this point. Is it a black thing like Lester that every single comment is bashing Nuss? Let me guess, you want collins.

Our O is not as good as last year, our D is about the same. I think we can win games but probably will drop 2 SEC games if not 3 and finish with 3 or 4 losses.

LSU must lean on the strength of the team, and that has to be the passing game. Nussmeier has been passable, but has to be better for LSU to win these games.

Our biggest challenge vs bama wont be covering their WRs, it’ll be containing a running milroe. He torched Georgia with his legs last night. I’m afraid we don’t have the speed with Perk out to limit him.

they gave up over 300 yards passing in the second half last night. That bolds well for our passing attack.
