In high school or younger just sit fastball with less than two strikes. If a kid misses with the curve they rarely ever come back with another curve to clean it up.

Usually look fastball and adjust but does depend on the pitcher and situation. Some pitchers are very predictable. Most important...train to develop consistent muscle memory with multiple pitches. It actually becomes difficult to swing at anything but a strike.

Depends. If I'm Bregman I look offspeed every first pitch I see. Thats all he is gonna get with his reputation. If I'm say....Stevenson, I'd look fastball and adjust to the offspeed stuff.

Nobody commenting on Todd Walker's opinion? I thought it was interesting that his approach was different than what you would expect.
