What has been the longest pass thrown by Nuss this season?

Longest completed pass? Probably the TD to Z. Thomas vs Florida. 23 yards.

The only other completion that was thrown 20+ yards was a completion to Anderson vs La Tech for 23 yards. Everything else has been incomplete or intercepted; though the overturned TD vs Clemson would have been ~30 yards.

I don't know what is wrong with the offense, but my gosh, how many deep balls have we tried this year?

You have to block in order to throw deep balls.
We cant block long enough for a proper 7 step drop.

This aint brain surgery.

I still think we'll see a Hilton catch win a big game or two for us later this year

I want Chris Hilton Jr to succeed bc he's a local guy, he's been loyal to LSU, and he clearly has some skills.

However - his body language on the field is suspect, and when he has gotten the opportunity this year, he's kinda duffed it (see: fumble at Clemson). He lined up wrong several times this year. He also doesn't get great separation for someone of his speed.

Barion Brown and Aaron Anderson are just better overall players right now, and I suspect Nic Anderson is too.

Also, the coaches have clearly seen that we have an elite defense and special teams, so the offense doesn't need to take 5 step drop deep shots as much as last year. So his targets will go down.

Hope he pulls it together.

A jet sweep, a screen, anything to get the man involved. With all that speed, it's not a bad idea to try to use it. I understand what his father is saying. The offense could use some new wrinkles dor sure.

This may be the first season we see players quit and wait for portal to open because of lack of playing time. Maybe.. idk.

I don't blame Sr. Sloan is costing some Day 1 or 2 picks by getting 2-3 targets per game, and none downfield. That hurts their draft stock and ability for son to get rich. I'm sure ya'll would feel the exact same if it were your son.

Everyone keeps solely blaming Sloan despite Kelly repeatedly admitting that the offense is doing what Kelly is asking them to do. Kelly is the one trying to remain conservative. We saw Sloan's plycalling last year and he wants to throw it 60% of the time.

and he fumbled and couldn't break an arm tackle on 4th and 2. That doesn't inspire confidence. He also hasn't performed much over his career. Maybe he can break out. We all hope he does. but its a team sport. N Anderson hasn't been targeted much either. perils of being a WR.

A Anderson is clearly your best WR with Brown. There are only so many balls to go around

After the bowl game performance, it's pretty shocking that LSU hasn't tried a deep ball or two to Hilton. But this is a bad look from the parent.

We have a serious log jam at WR where only Aaron Anderson has set himself apart as a must play player, IMO. But we do have a lack of over the top, deep ball attempts that Hilton specializes in.

He is in the dog house for sure. I am not sure if it was bc the blowup in the Clemson game where he lined up wrong and talked back to BK or something else. He is rarely out there.

Also to be fair, teams have not allowed LSU to go deep with passes. Hilton was targeted on deep route at least once in Tech game and they tackled him to draw the PI. Maybe this week the deep ball can be worked into the play calling.

For those who have been to the games, are receivers getting open? It's impossible to tell watching on TV

Maybe get open and catch the ball when you do?

Being a Senior DOES NOT entitle you to catches...especially when u might be the 6th best option...Anderson, Brown, Anderson & Bauer are better options and that is not counting Green who is not healthy!
