You don't know anything about me. Sorry that you don't understand that punching someone in the face is a criminal act.

Which is why the charge was ultimately reduced and a plea was agreed to. Doesn't change the facts of what happened. The only thing that changed is that the DA was not going to meet their burden of proof at trial so they took what they could get in a plea.

Jeremy Hill may have anger management issues to address, but he's not a thug. He's making excellent grades so even if he was to get hurt, he'ld still have a meaningful life with a college degree. See no reason to destroy that life over anger management issues that can be resolved. If he further embarrasses Miles in any way, if he so much as forts next to Miles, he's likely gone.

Uh, because you're the one making the statement. It's kind of up to you to back it up.
Nope.

That's not how it works. If I make the statement, "LSUnowhas2 downloads child porn" - it's kind of up to me to prove it. I wouldn't come back with "do your own research" if somebody asks me to prove it.
Or, I could if I was talking out of my arse like you are.
The difference is that there is no public record available at the courthouse that supports your statement.

LSUnowHas2, you are also selective what you want to see here. the video, in and of itself, is pitiful. But you were not there, and nor was I. How do you know the kid didnt grab JH's girlfriend tits inside the bard? In which case he deserved it. I am not defending JH's actions. What i am stating is that you are just as blind as everyone else in passing judgment on this guy.
trust the judgement made. relax man.

Exactly. No evidence means no rape. Just teens being teens, which now an days means a lack of morals and value, namely the fourteen year old girl willing to give him a wet one. Stop making J Hill seem worse than he really is.

A bill of information sets out the information that you have that constitutes your probable cause to charge a defendant with a crime. It also sets out what you hope to be able to prove should the matter progress to trial.
Exactly. An accusation. You know why it didn't proceed to trial? Because there was a video that showed the girl wasn't unwilling. She also refused to testify. Please quit using the bill of info as your evidence.
I really hope you aren't a lawyer

If that was the case, why didn't he punch the guy in the bar when it happened?
I am not saying the guy that he punched isn't also a POS. But that doesn't give anyone the right (legal or otherwise) to sucker punch someone.

They didn't have enough evidence to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. That doesn't mean they didn't have any evidence. Obviously they had some evidence or they wouldn't have been able to leverage a plea deal.

they had 0 evidence of her being unwilling which is why jeremy had leverage for a plea deal

Thank you. And the fact that she didn't testify means it was either her willingness or she enjoyed it. Like I said, sounds like an average guy, and its just a bj

The evidence they had was the girl's statement. A statement she refused to give in court because of the video of the event.
It baffles my mind that you admit there wasn't enough evidence for trial. So Hill doesn't get to defend himself from the accusations on the BOI, and in your mind that means the BOI is proof of what happened.
It's obvious you aren't a lawyer, which makes it even creepier that you went to the courthouse to read these documents.
The only other evidence was a cell phone video which showed the girl wasn't being forced, hence the misdemeanor carnal knowledge.

And then again, I kind of wonder if this guy is the slut's father.

First, suspending him 3-5 games wouldn't ruin the kid. If he was worth keeping he would keep going to class, practice with the team, and come back stronger after the suspension. My problem is the perception. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see Les is playing a game to get away with the least suspension possible. He is testing the waters to see the fallout from the media. The smaller the fallout the smaller the suspension. Johnny football is helping out on this btw. I think its called pulling an Obama. All the facts are in and Les needs to show decisiveness and make a call, he is the one getting the big bucks.

How about we let Les Miles do exactly how he wants to do with Hill? If some of you are so disgusted that we have a "team full of thugs" and a "coach that lets them play", give up your tickets, and let the rest of us "immature win at all costs heathens" go out there and support the "thugs".

Maybe not...but what it would be would be WILDLY disproportionate to his "crime" which was punching a guy. Had Hill be on probation because of something he'd done at LSU, I'd agree with the notion of a harsher punishment.
He wasn't...and since the judge presiding over his case felt revoking his probation was unnecessary, then I see no reason Hill should be punished by Les Miles as if it was.

My problem is the perception.
Mine isn't. The fact is, you can;t change everyone's mind, and in this case there are far too many people who stand to benefit from ginning up controversy to worry about random opinions.

Nothing to get a way with. He doesn't have to suspend him further at all, and there's literally nothing anyone can do about it other than whine.

Sure he is...

The smaller the fallout the smaller the suspension.
See above.

Finally something to agree with.

He already has. The fact that you don;t like it doesn't mean it hasn't been made.

I am very much a lawyer. And I didn't go to the courthouse to pull the document. The BOI was showed to me by another lawyer back when the BOI was filed.
